"felt the differance in the gas pedal instantly.much quicker response when you need passing gear.lag time on downshifting when going up a grade ( while on cruise control ) is almost not there.can definately feel more pickup and power.its hard to stay out of the throttle knowing you've got that little bit more there..well worth the money.your motor is crying " LET ME BREATHE." this will let it.."

"The intake was alot better than i was expecting the sound of the engine is much fuller and deep sounding and the throttle response is better..this is probably the cheapest way for a increase in performance. I recommend it to anyone who dos not have one.seriously its the cheapest web site to buy it from and the shipping is the fastest as well..most sites are 7-14 days lol by then you already forgot about it."

"I installed this with no problems in about 30 mins without any hickups. It added some acceleration and a slight throaty intake sound with a little gas mileage improvement. I would reccommend to all. This will be the first upgrade to all of my future trucks!"

Great Product But...

"I recieved the K&N Air intake three days ahead of schedule and began to put it on. The directions were not bad, but when I was ready to put it on I noticed that I was missing a key ingredient the nut extension that holds the actual intake down. After a few choice words and a call to customer service that wasen't very helpful I went to the hardware store and got a 3 1/2" bolt to replace the missing part. I took it for a test drive and could notice a big difference in the throttle response and hoursepower. Haven't really checked on the mpg, but all in all very pleased with intake."

"After 500 mi. I see no differnce on the gas milage , I also had a flomaster muffler instaled. Meby I didnt do the right thing but, I followed the direction to the letter ??????"

"the product arrived in a timely manner but the instructions for installing should have been more precise with larger type and more pictures. it took me about 2 1/2 hours to install this unit and i work on vehicles quite often. i have yet to check any increased in mileage but the vehice seems to have more power."

"You can feel the punch especially with my bullydog programer backed up to it. Had trouble with it fitting had to cut the fan shroud a little, also had to take it to my Mechanic to put a new program in the truck so it would idle right. Have not had time to see any difference in mpg yet."

"Installed the FIPK on my 05 Wrangler Unlimited, and love the difference. Not quite through a full tank yet but I can tell there has been a monumental improvement in mileage. With a Banks Cat-back system the sound is terrific. I'm afraid that punching the pedal down to hear the response is skewing my mileage results!"

"Increased throttle response. Better gas mileage. Roughly 3mpg better on highway. 20mpg on interstate driving. City driving not measured yet. Easy installation. Could use a little better instruction. Engine noise considerable under load but good trade for performance. Helped with towing."

"Easy to install, 1&1/2 hr. Increase 1 mpg if you keep your foot out of gas. Sounds mean, kind of loud in cab, opens up the airflow alot. Great product."

"Good investment at a great price. I did improve response and torque on my I5 Colorado Crew Cab wich it has good hp/trq from stock. Gas mileage has not been checked yet. It does sound agresive too. Easy installation with lots of new replacement hoses and clamps. Good maintenance practice anyway! I'll recomend this product to anyone with a Colorado/Canyon I5 engine."

My K&N Filter

"Really incredible. I have bsaically taken 1995 Ford F150 truck with 220K miles on and replaced the engine, transmission and nost of the other items. Added Magnaflow dual exhaust, and the K&N filter, this truck has more pickup and power than when it was new, I purchased it new with 22 miles on it in 1995. Just seems to run better, even with the 5.0 litre engine I get 16-17 mpg on the road. I have not been able to check gas mileage yet with the new air filter system but it looks like that will inprove as well. Overall I say money well spent. I have re-habed an old friend for thosands of dollars less than a new vehicle!!"

"a bit noisier, definitely feels like it is breathing easier and revving more easily and higher. A good match for the hotter cams and tune of the magnum engine. A couple of minor discrepancies in the installation instructions, but nothing serious. Overall recommended."
