"I installed the kit on a '99 Chevy Suburban with 200,000 miles, a 1500 with 5.7 L engine. Mileage climbed 2 MPG over the next 750 miles of road trips. Kit was easy to follow. Only reason did not give five stars is that one coupler was cross threaded and had to take a tap and rethread it. Otherwise instructions easy to follow, fit was excellent. Eric"

"the intake was farely easy to install but i had to run to home depot because the kit forgot a bolt that was crucial. that was lame but the intake improves low end power more noticable in towing.have not noticed any mileage difference still checking it."

"I shopped for 3 months looking at differant set&ups and filters, knowing K&N (I have them in all my vehicles)supplies a plug-n-play system.Purchase here, it's the lowest price you'll find, trust me! Bolted on in 20 mins. and I was off to the races! I especially like the improved response and the torqe you recieve over 2500rpm's.My 4liter Jeep is lovin' it! You can't go wrong!"

Works well on Honda S2000

"I am fairly pleased with this K&N kit on my Honda S2000. At some engine speeds there is a high-pitched whine. However, at most engine speeds, the filter kit actually makes the engine growl a bit, which is a really nice sound. Seems to have also given the car a little more oomph. I would recommend the kit. Install took a bit of time, but was not too difficult if instructions are followed exactly."

"Great sound, and quite a bit more get up and go. The one thing I think K&N should be faulted on is not warning about the FRAGILE PCV valve coming out of the right crankcase connecting to the T-fitting. I snapped it off since I really didn't expect that to be so brittle. unscrew PCV valve BEFORE trying to get off the existing hose. Approx 3 mpg increase with a exhaust upgrade, and a really cool throaty sound that isn't too loud but lets you know you are opening the throttle body up. I would suggest this upgrade to anyone. The install was super easy aside from the above misfortune."

"When i got this item i put it in right away...really easy install..about a half hour....i took it out right after i was done..and bamn i noticed the sound and the power gain...best money u can possibly spend your money on...cheap bolt on....give the k&n kit a 10*..."

Toss-up between this and Whisper lid

"The FIPK didn't really add any extra horses to the Camaro but it gives it that low rumble I wanted. Once I add the new exhaust, these two items will work perfectly together. I wasn't sure about this intake versus the Whisper Lid with CAI mod but this worked out better. I'm still going to add the CAI just to get more air flow but I don't regret this purchase. Just would have liked to "feel" the extra air flow with this intake immediately like I did when I added one to my Supra."

"The kit was much easier to install than made out by K&N - it took probably 1/2 of the 90 minutes estimated by K&N. The product is well built, complete, solid so nothing squeaks - and easy to tighten so there are no leaks."

"I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8 V8 engine. It has been a week so far, and my truck runs better, it sounds better, the throttle response is awsome, it makes my truck quicker on the go! "The K&N is just AWESOME! Had it installed with the Borla exhaust and now my Navigator has the sound and performance I've been looking for. Can't tell yet about the mileage claim but it seems like the gas needle is not dropping as fast! Geez - the engine sound under acceleration is just fantastic! The installer gave me this gem - the cost of installing (I recommend taking it to a shop unless you've got several hours to burn)is $75.00, driving it priceless."
