  • Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit help you install the FIPK Intake Kit easily in 90 minutes or less
  • Your K&N FIPK Air Intake comes with K&N's legendary 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty

Description

More passing power, more towing power and better acceleration. The K&N FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) smoothes and straightens huge volumes of incoming air, allowing your engine to breathe deep and roar. You’ll feel the power across the entire RPM range.

The backbone of the FIPK is the high-flow K&N Filtercharger air filter in K&N’s signature pink color. It’s washable, reusable, and lasts for the life of your ride. Couple that with the custom crosslink nylon intake tube, and the K&N FIPK Air Intake runs faster and cooler than the competition.

Installation? It’s a cinch. K&N packs the FIPK with a complete hardware kit and detailed step-by-step instructions to get the job done in less than an hour and a half. It even mounts to factory locations—no modifications or drilling. And, K&N protects your FIPK Air Intake Kit with a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty. Order now, and feel the FIPK difference everywhere you drive.

Notes

  • Emissions-related parts for new model year vehicles may be in "pending" status for CARB certification. Earning certification takes time, but will be complete before your new vehicle's first smog check.
  • AutoAnything’s exclusive 90-day money back guarantee: try it out and if it doesn't fully meet your expectations – installation was too difficult, performance gains weren’t impressive - send it back in any condition for a full refund. AutoAnything is not responsible for return shipping.
  • CARB exempt products are legal for use in all 50 states. Products that are not CARB exempt are legal in most states, but may not be used in California or states with similar emissions control laws.

"Once I installed the K&N cold air intake in my '07 PT Cruiser (non-turbo) and went for a test drive there was a noticeable power increase and a nice throaty growl after 4,000 RPM!! Kind of expensive but worth the gain in hp that I was looking for!!! You get what you pay for and I would recommend the K&N intake to any performance enthusiast!!"

"A good piece of equipment, easy to install and all the brackets fit but I had to use some of my existing bolts since not all the bolts supplied would work. It seems to make a difference in the power of my truck. I just installed it so I can't say anything about my gas consumption yet. The only negative about the air filter is the price. It is way over priced for what it is."

"Getting K&N FIPK was something I have wanted for a long time, So I tore open the box the same day I got it in the mail. Take your time and read the directions completely and make sure you look at the exploded view for all the parts and their locations. It prolly took me an hour to assemble. Did not like the weather striping have to guess on where to cut and fit it on the steal plate. After that it was simple bolt on. I like the sound on the intake when I start it up in the morning. The dyno chart of the 12 hp is cool, once in a while I will bring my motor up to 4000 rpm to feel the difference. I would buy it again definitely."

"It took me about 35 minutes to install on my 87 Toyota supra. When I first ordered this I thought it came with the tubing for the intake as well. It actually just comes with the filter and the custom fit adapter to replace your stock filter. I can definitely tell the difference at the higher RPM's now with better throttle response and acceleration. It makes a pretty cool sound too when you punch it, kinda like a turbo sound the K & N filter gives off. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone. It's worth the money!"

"I recently installed the K&N FIPK Air Intake on my truck. I was very pleased with the time of delivery. It actually came about three days before the tracking number said it would. It was real easy to put on just a few clamps and bolts. Had to drill one 1/8'' hole for the heat shield mounting bracket. No big deal. Immediately felt a bump in acceleration and it makes my truck sound a bit throatier as well. I cant keep my foot out of the gas long enough to get an accurate number in the increase of fuel economy yet, maybe a couple more weeks. Definitely a great purchase and would recommend it to anyone."

"We were shocked at the difference the K & N filter made on our F250-- the engine ran much smoother and easier. It took us quite awhile to install it because it has been years since my husband and I worked on a vehicle. They dont make them with the space they used to have. Being great grand parents we are not as limber as before."

The directions were extremely easy to follow and i'm no mechanic. i am very impressed by the improvement in throttle response and added pickup. "I have had the K&N FIPK Air Intake kit installed for a little over a week. Immediate gain in power. I have not notice any improvement in gas mileage which is disappointing but I have only run two tanks through it since the install. Overall a great value. The installation was a breeze and took about 45 minutes from the time I opened the box until I test drove my truck."

"I have a 2005 4x4 f150 with the 5.4 liter v8. I just put the kit on 2 days ago. It went on smoothly I had my father help me and it took us about 2 hours to do it. I have the edge programmer and flow master so I some power already. But you can tell the difference when you put your foot down on the throttle. The engine is a bit louder when you putting your foot down on the throttle and the get up and go is faster. I haven't drove it enough to know if the gas mileage is better. Also one thing I notice is no whistle noise when the truck is idling and the truck isn't any louder when its idling."

"I was a little concerned about the fit when I ordered the K & N unit. The instructions were good and I spent an extra hr. cutting a larger opening for the air flow in the front of my truck. It runs much better, idles better and performance has improve. The nicest thing is before I put it in you have to start off at about 1000 RPM and now I can take off at almost idle and the pick-up is improved. It;s worth the money."

"Works great can actually hear it sucking in the air. My only real complaint is during insulation the tube that goes from the old air box into the manifold didn't fit right on the K&N. It was too long so had to buy a rubber hose to replace the old rubber and plastic one. but works great now. Just added a Gibbon performance exhaust they work and sound excellent together."

"I previously purchased a K&N FIPK Air Intake for my 2003 Trailblazer, and really liked the performance gain and sound that were apparent after the installation. So, I purchased a unit for my 2004 Corvette. I have not noticed similar performance gains for the Corvette, but that may be because the percentage horsepower gains were higher on the Trailblazer. I have not had the unit long enough on the Corvette to see if there is any mileage gains. I had both units installed professionally, so I can't comment on ease of installation, but in both cases it took approximately 1 hour for the professionals to install."

"Installation was relatively easy, I had to reference the exploded view in lieu of the directions to figure out a couple of things. Very noticeable increase in sound and power. And according to my Hyperpac... a 12 hp increase. As yet no decernable increase in mileage, but also no decrease, every with my foot in it all the time so that’s a wash so far."

"Found kit easy to install. Hardest part was getting replaced equipment off. Directions could have been a little better. Did not supply enough sealing tubing. Just installed last weekend so do not have many miles with it in place to make a serious comment about engine response and increased mpg. With one tank of gas truck equipment saying 0.7 mpg increase."
