"It is awesome how much more horsepower I have noticed since installing my kit. I didn't notice any fuel mileage changes at first, but I had my foot in the gas most of the time. On the latest tank of gas I kept my lead foot off of it and noticed around 4 mpg increase. The only thing I would recommend to the company is that they provide better instructions on installing it, MAN! Make it plain and simple so it is easier to understand step by step, especially on which parts to use on that model of vehicle it was purchase. It took me about 1 hour and 15 minutes to install when it should have taken about 30 minutes if the directions were more simple. Other than that, it is and will be a great investment. Thanks Auto Anything, your site is easy to use and purchase items at a much lower price than the competitors. It took about 5 days before it arrived at my doorstep."

"I have had my K@N for about 2 weeks now, and I love it. It sounds great, gives my motor a little smoother run, and it looks cool too. I am probably getting about 1mpg better with it on. It only took about an hour to put on. So far so good. I have been a K&N guy for years, and they have yet to fail me. I have a 2004 Silverado Z71."

2005 S2000 2.2 - K&N FIPK air intake

"The installation instruction was clear, but instead of looking at the picture on the paper instruction, I would look at the picture you download in a .pdf format. You can magnify the picture and see better detail. INstalling the rubber molding around the box was a bit tricky at the 90degree corner and the 290 degree bend. I had the cut the ruberized metal strip to be able to bend it. All in all it was a 4 out of 5 star installation. You can feel the HP gain a bit. I could not tell if there is a noice factor increase as mentioned in some chats."

"Some pics in the instruction sheet were not clear as to part placement. Some instructions were not clear. Equipment was of very good quality. Instructions did not say anything about that the vehicle's computer had to be reset so as to sense the leaner fuel mixture(more airflow in). In my opinion, its too expensive for what you get."

"Installation was easy, it took me approx. 30 min to take out the factory air box and install the K&N Cold Air Intake in my truck. Since then i have gotten a 2-5 mpg fuel increase. And accerleration has increased going up hills and against the wind."

"Easy installation, except for the bolt and nut matching up. The Bolts could have been color coded. Other than that my ck engine light came on but went away after about and hour. Can definately see the throttle reponse"

"The performance of the system is right on with what's stated. Can literally hear the air being sucked in. The downside is that you must have a little mechanical sense to follow the instructions....not clear at all. Instructions like install with the hardware included is not much help when there is a bag full of "hardware"."

"The instructions are clear and easy to follow. You can download them from the manufacturer in advance of the purchase to see if it is a project you can handle. Just don't read them when you have had a few beers or it will seem too complicated. It only took about 30 min. to install and the performance and sound is very noticible. Quite pleased especially when you see how much less you pay Autoanything than purchasing direct from the manufacturer!"

"This device has significantly changed the way my Dodge performs. It not only add's horsepower, it improves gas mileage. My mileage went from 16mpg to 21mpg. (according to the onboard computer in my truck) I pull an enclosed 12ft trailer with two dirt bikes, tool box, 25gal of gas, and assorted other cargo, it was like it wasn't even there. This is the best bolt on air intake on the market. And Auto Anything has great prices."

"From start to finish,the entire K&N FIPK, was bolted in place in under 30 minutes(with no assistance).I have a 2004 F-150, 4.6L, and the kit fits perfectly. The instructions are easy to read, and the diagrams are not generic, they include actual pictures of the 4.6L Triton.I have much better acceleration, and have added approx. 1-2 more miles to the gallon."

"I had reservations about it. I instaled it on my Explorer SportStrac with in 35 min. The performance increase is mildly noticible.Engine breathes a lot better. Exhaust upgrade recomended. Gas milage is somewhat better. A little noisy inside."

"Heat shield fit poorly and rubber gasket poorly formed and doesn't make contact with anything to keep hot air from entering. Shipment received with box unsealed and parts were incorrect / missing (as per included list)."

"This a great product and easy to install. I like the added throttle response and the deeper sound of the exhaust. I have not determined if the gas mileage is any better yet. Make sure you follow the directions to a "T" and it will only take you about one hour to install. Make sure you put your mass air flow sensor back in the correct way or your vehicle will not stay running."

Great sound and speed...but, my gas mileage is down

"I installed this air kit on my '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T. It brought all the pieces necessary to do the installation and it took me about 45 minutes to do so. I'm very glad i purchased this kit because since then my car has gained about 25 hp and i just love the sound it makes when changing gears...BUT, my gas mileage has gone down, instead of saving me gas, the kit is eating it up, but only when i go fast. if i floor it the car would swallow about $1.25 of gas in 3 seconds. Now, instead of putting $20 of gas a week i have to put $30. of course, this only applies if i go past the speed limit everyday, which i do ... even with that, it was worth every penny."
