"Great product I put it on a 1998 Lincoln Navigator and even though I haven't messed with anything like this before the instalation was very easy and would recomend it to anybody. Made my engine more noticable when I cruse at 2 x1000 RPM it realy sounds good. But mainly when you stomp on it, it roars."

"I bought a K&N For my F-150 5L 302 and I love it. You can actual hear all the air being sucked in by you engine. I live in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and with the 500 pounds of sand bags in the back i can only go 65 mph up some steep hills. I went back after I installed my K&N and I was pulling 72 mph without any problem. The filter also increased the throttle response. This product is for anyone who likes to take good care of their car but also tries to improve it without having any mechanic background. The only down side to the whole kit is the instructions. They are very vague, but really, all installation is just nuts and bolts so it isn't that hard. I would also recommend purchasing this filter from Auto Anything because I first recieved the kit without some parts (not their fault, but rather the supplier) and Auto Anything was very helpful in fixing the problem and working with me. On top of that, I got the best price at Auto Anything. Great Product, good price."

"I installed this system on my 2002 F-150. My truck has a 6 inch lift with 35 inch tires and needed a little bit more power. Definately gives the engine and Flowmaster exhaust a deeper and fuller sound. Added some horsepower and torque too. Not slamming me back in my seat or anything, but a small noticable gain. Not seeing any help on fuel milage though, and I drive A LOT. All in all, a good buy..."

"I am a motorcycle mechanic and know that air intake equals more horsepower. The K&N Air Intake system works very well. I gained approximately 2 miles per gallon and at about 2200 to 3500 rpm's the horsepower gains were definitly noticable. Also if you are one that likes hearing your horsepower gains, this system really can be heard. It sounds like you just bolted on a blower. Being mechanicly enclined allowed me to install the system in about 30 minutes. All the parts and directions are self explanatory and any lea person should have no problem with the installation. This system is a must for any vehical."

"I installed a k%n filter on a 2003 dodge ram 1500 (with the smallest v8 engine) to improve performance and increase mpg. After installation, my power does seem slightly improved, but as yet I haven't noticed any improvement in mpg. With the high price of gas, I'm a little disappointed in the latter."

"The instructions for the installation lacked clarity for some steps.Notably the exact order placement of the plactic hose fittings ie lengths of the fittings varied but instructions were silent on which length went to each position.I was disappointed with the fragility of the plastic fittings,a few extra would be a nice touch since I'm sure they are quite inexpensive but a disaster should you break one.Additionally for the price of the kit another piece of rubber cushion fot the bottom of the mounting bracket would also enhance the kit.The performance of the auto was much improved.

"I recently purchased and installed a K&N cold air intake system on my 2004 PT Cruiser. First the bad news: The installation was harder than it looked like it would be, and heaven help you if you ever blow a fuse (the heat shield sits squarely on the top of the fuse box, obliging you to dismantle the entire system to get at fuses). The good news: Definitely more power, noticeable on long hills and in hard acceleration. Icing on the cake: I run a DynoMax muffler, which has a rich, mellow sound (unlike those coffee can rigs kids use which make their Hondas sound like overgrown leaf blowers). There was the most pleasant surprise with the K&N. Open up the throttle and the sound is deliciously booming – sounds more like a big V6 than a little 4-banger."

"I started out installation of the FIPK with great anticipation for the benefits as well as the "ease" of installation. I found the instructions cryptic and disjointed. The oxygen sensor does not appear to "fit" properly in the grommet, and I still keep looking for my "check engine" light to come on. The only difference I have noticed is that the engine seems to run cooler, which doesn't seem to be a byproduct of the FIPK. My saving grace is that if it doesn't perform as advertised, I can always put the stock filter kit back on."

"The instruction sheets were small and hard to see the pictures. They were to small and not clear. Also the instructions were not to clear. My sugestions are to make pictue larger. Also take a picture and do a good break down of all the parts, show what they look like and where they go.
It is hard to say what the performance looks like. It seems to have help the hp. at the rear end. The gas mileage I am not sure has improved any but I have only used 1 tank"

"I installed the intake at night and it took longer due to the fact that I could not see my hand in front of my face. It installed fairly simply and the picture guided instructions were very precise. The only drawback was that an "L" Bracket and an intake clamp was missing, however, once in contact with AutoAnything over the phone I recieved the parts next day."

"Installation was easy, the hose between tube and throttle body seemed a little short but was ok if postioned just right. Kit seemed to add mid-upper HP. I was cocerned about noise, normal driving was ok. Some noise at wide open throttle, which was ok with me. Have not got to check gas mileage yet, hopeing it will help some."
