"just as advertised, easy to follow instructions, easy to install, looks real good compared to factory setup. hard to tell any increase in horsepower w/out dyno but sure sounds good when you open the throttle especially with flowmaster exhaust. havn't checked gas mileage yet."

"SNAP! As in snap your head back in my "baby" AWD HEMI Dodge Magnum. And for the time being about 4 mpg. better milage with my foot in it. I am sure it will be much better when I can control myself."

"The K&N FIPK that i ordered for my 02 Dodge Ram 5.9/360 was an excellent buy for the money. Right away after installing it I noticed a gain in horsepower, torque and gas mileage, about 2 to 3 or 4 miles per gallon increase. Not only does it look great but the sound is awesome! I would recommend this intake kit to anyone who is interested in increasing power and gas mileage. The installation was unique for my specific application and took about 45 min to an hour to install but was well worth the effort. The day after the install I pulled my trailer with my four wheeler on it and was blown away by how much little effort my engine had to work, and I was getting better gas mileage than before without pulling anything at all. Simply put, K&N is the best intake you can get and my truck is a blast to drive now."

"The power that they claim, I can feel after the install. It was easy to install with simple tools. The only down side of this intake is the noise when you are above 3000 rpm and floor it."

"Took me about half an hour to install with a friend and it sounds awesome. My saturn used to whine but now sounds excellent with a low and powerful sound. The price wasnt terrific but i got what i paid for. Overall great product."

"The K&N was pretty easy to install. It took about an hour to get everything done but I went slow to make sure it was done correctly and it was the first one that I put on. The directions are very good and detailed. Detailed piece picture could be a little begger but not a big issue. The performnance is there a noticable difference in acceleration and hill climbs. I'm still waiting on the inrceased fule mileage although it appears to be a little better than before with a short 250 mile trip. "

"the installation sucked, and the peice doesn't stay in place like the instructions say. everything else was good the price was average and the appearance is excellent. it looks great I just don't like that I have to fix it in to place all the time."

"I installed the K&N FIPK air intake on my 5.7L Hemi 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. Got much better, throatier sound at half to full throttle. Little more pep... hope i will get more when i chip it. About 1 mpg better gas mileage"

"After reading the reviews online about the simplicity of installation I was anticipating a walk in the park. Not so. I'm not a mechanic but I'm good at following directions. The saddle clamp and tube mounting prompts could be clearer as final tightening and clearances can only be done after the intake tube is installed. 90 degree turns with the edge trim is almost impossible. Pix and parts list show a 90 degree vent elbow but directions don't mention it. Air box mounting brackets are very difficult to tighten. Package contained no instuctions whatsoever as to the care and maintenance of the air filter. It took me a little over 2 hours to install and I'm not all thumbs. Though very happy with finished product."

"I own a 06 Dodge Ram 2500 Turbo Diesel, bought brand new with 13 miles on it in August of 2006. It is May of 09 and it now has 130,000 miles. I have it chipped, muffler has been removed and a straight pipe in its place. With just that I went from 14 mpg city/highway to about 20 mpg city/highway. With the K&N in place I increased another 3.5 to 4.5 mpg to 23 to 25 mpg city/highway! The power is amazing as well. Now you can hear the Turbo spool up and it sounds tough! Driving about 1400 miles a week the K&N will pay for itself in no time at all. Installation was somewhat easy, pictures were a little difficult, but I had it installed in a relative short period of time."

"Good kit and generally easy to install. Download the PDF installation instructions from K&N, as the supplied pictures are weak. Cutting the washer off the radiator bolt allows that bolt to work. Otherwise you'll need to buy a longer one. The factory airbox rubber mounts broke off during disassembly. We made new ones using stainless washers and 1" x 1/4-20 bolts and wiper motor rubber mounts from the auto parts store - 2 needed. The car seems to run better. My 17 year old son is impressed. He helped with the install and did the test drive."

"Took about an hour and a half to install and I couldn't wait to try it. I noticed right away more acceleration. I got up to 40 mph and nailed it and it sounded like a big 4-barrel carburetor kicking in. Seems like more than the 8 and a half added horsepower it calls for."

"DIRECTIONS WHERE A LITTLE HARD TO READ AND FOLLOW BUT AFTER LAYING EVERYTHING OUT IT ALL CAME TOGETHER. LOOKS GOOD AND SOUNDS GREAT. FIRST TANK OF GAS WAS BLOWN DUE TO FOOT IN THE FLOOR MOST OF THE TIME. GIVING TRUCK A TANK OF GAS FOR THE COMPUTER TO ADJUST FOR NEW AIR FLOW THE 3RD TANK SHOWED A 1.5 MPG INCREASE ON HIGHWAY TRIPS. NO REAL IMPROVEMENT IN CITY DRIVING BUT SOME NOTICED ACCEL INCREASE."

"The stock air systems in the cars are awful!! They restrict airflow and really do not allow for these vehicles to breath. The FIPK made a difference all around in performance and sound. When I drop the hammer it is very clear that she is breathing better just by the sound alone."

"First of all let me express my complete satisfaction with the unit. My suggestions are this. I would do a better job with the instructions. Telling us to use bolt # or part # etc. would make teh installation easier.The other thing is enclose all teh necessary hoses. The PVC line hose should be the proper legnth for my vehicel not 2" long. It requires a 10" hose. The original equipment is only 6" long. I had to go to a local parts store to get teh proper legnth hose."
