"Truck: 06 Ram 4.7 with cat back exhaust and PCM Module added. This air intake was easy to install, and provides a nice boost of roughly 8hp in the mid RPM range. You really feel the difference when driving on an onramp or when passing. One thing you should be aware of before ordering is the noise. This intake sucks alot of air in, and you can hear this sucking sound coming through the vents in the truck as well as outside of the truck. One friend actually thought I had a monster vacuum leak until I popped the hood and showed him...which by the way looks awesome! I would recommend this as long as you have an exhaust setup to cover the intake noise."

"I installed this kit along with a Jet throttle body spacer. Install went very smoothly, everything lines up nicely and looks pretty good. Performance gain is very noticeable, open the throttle up and youll here a nice womping sound as the air gets sucked in, along with a supercharger like whine from the throttle body spacer. Very pleased, and i highly recomend the combo install."

"After having an semi dual exaust put on a '07 Dodge Magnum with the 3.5 V-6 the engine needed more air. The K&N FIPK Air Intake did the trick. Highly recommend the K&N. I have had K&N air filters 7 other velicles."

"I got one for my 97 Ford Thunderbird 4.6 V8 and it was really easy to install looks great and it does make a differance in my mpg/hp the mpgs would have been better if I didnt drive it so hard but its just funner that way its also too bad that it didnt come with an heat shield but the K&N is freakin awesome wish they made one for my 95 Pontiac sunfire"

"This product is an ok value to money ratio it is a little expensive bit it was well worth it to purchase it for my ranger. I would buy of again it a heart beat. The boost to the acceleration and power were well worth the money I spent on it. The best thing About it is that the sound of it makes the car sound like a huge engine coming down the road and rimbling as well. A great purchase I have recommned it to friends and they are planning on getting one themselves."

"Instructions were spot on. The only challenge was removing the OEM stuff. Everything went together in about 90 minutes. Great sound and power. Currently seeing about 10% better gas mileage around town."

"It installs easily and works great already see improvements in mileage and horse power and response has improved in the throttle as well as the low end torque overall great product I also recommend the jet mass airflow sensor to go along with it as it help to give you the full potential of the kit Ray"

"Since I purchased this K&N cold air induction system during the winter months, I opted to have it installed at a local speed shop garage. It took them about an hour to install it. "The installation was easy and straight forward with the instructions. I did feel an increase of horsepower, but have not measured whether it gives more MPG as I have a heavy foot. The most noticable difference is the engine sound. You can really hear the hemi with this product."

"Installed in less than two hours. Lost about 15 min. due to my stupidity. The performance is outstanding. Pulls strong right up to 4500 rpm. If you want great performance at a decent price, this is the way to go."

"Installation instructions were easy to follow and clear. I installed this w/o any modification to the exhaust system to see the difference the intake-only makes. It definately added more torque and you can definately feel the power change when going uphill. On a Colorado, you know that irritating downshift at 55mph when heading up an incline?that has increased to around 62mph now. Great sound when you trounce on the gas, no real change in mileage. Do you want this? yeah...Was it worth the $285? Well, it looks good, sounds good, and the truck performs better, but you'll have to decide for yourself."

K&N FIPK part deux

"K&N makes a superb product that is backed up by performance test reports and great customer service. This is the second K&N system that I have installed. The first one was on my 2002 Mustang 3.8 V6 convertible. I noticed an immediate improvement in throttle response and pickup. I also found that my MPG increased by at least 10%. A clamp was missing from the kit and a call to customer service was placed. A new clamp was express mailed the next day. They asked if I would please give them the production batch numbers so that they could check their stock to see if other kits were missing the same clamp. This is a good example of quality control in action. My latest K&N system was purchased for my 2002 Ford F-150 King Ranch pickup with the 5.4 V8. It's too early to tell about any MPG improvements but the throttle response and added HP was noticed immediately. The unique sound that the K&N makes while sucking in the cold air is a pleasure to hear when you step on the gas. It reminds me of the sound of the big old '60's muscle cars' 4 barrel carbs when it is wide open. I found that if I download the instructions from the K&N website to my laptop and then view the enlarged photos while I'm doing the installation, it is much easier to understand the directions as the included printed version has rather small ( 1"x1" ) photos."

"Somewhat confusing install guide, with subpar quality pictures. Also, the design of the box is far from airtight, allowing hot engine air to be pulled in making it a not so much "cold" air intake. Besides that, the sound is great, and power is improved."
