"i dont know what all these bad reviews are all about. this thing is awsome. it took me like 7 hours to put in but it was completely worth it. all the bad reviews said that all this does is make noise but its the opposite. if anything the least it does is make noise. the 10.25 horsepower IS noticable going up hill is no problem now. throttle response is a little better now. and gas inproved a little too. it got a little louder but not under the hood like everyone was saying... maybe people arent putting it in right or something but i thought it was pretty good. im not sure it was worth 345 bucks tho.."

"I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Liter HEMI in it and I last Christmas installed a Flowmaster exhaust in it to give my truck that muscle car sound. I than decided this Christmas to add some power and some more rumble to my truck the K&N FIPK added just that right amount of power and rumble! My only problem with it is that my truck's computer did not like the change of power that it has so you must be sure to have the computer reset."

"I'm impressed by the design of the unit, as far as initial take off,my dodge still takes off the same, but I have noticed more power in my passing gear on the freeway, I cannot comment on gas milage as of yet, but so far I'm satisfied. The sound is great."

"The K&N FIPK really turned the horses loose in the 3.7lit. In the 2003 Jeep Liberty , it greatly improved accerlation and performance. I have a 2005 FORD F150 4WD 4.6 v8 it also has the K&N FIPK , which improved its performance in addition in has the JET throttle body spacer, and the JET performance module, all three combined,gets this big FORD with tiny v.8 movein very QUICKELY also improved fuel millage. All of these parts came from AUTOANYTHING."

"INSTALLING THE K/N AIR INTAKE ON MY 06 DODGE RAM 2500 DIESEL REALLY GAVE ME BETTER THROTTLE RESPONCE AND A LITTLE BETTER GAS MILAGE,PLUS IT SOUNDS COOL WHEN YOU HEAR THAT TURBO SPOOL UP NICE."

"Me & my buddy put it together in 35min. Im not good with directions that why my buddy tagged along....
Anyways, installation was fairly easy via the directions. I remember 1 step was missing though but it wasant a big deal."

"Installation was fairly simple once I removed the Washer resivoir. This step should be added to the instructions. The kit has a noticable difference on the low end and the sound is amazing. I have not been able to keep my foot out of it to see a difference in fuel mileage yet. Overall great product and I am looking forward to ordering the Bully Dog powere pup to finish my truck off. I have a Flowmaster 40 series dual system, Airaid Throttle body Spacer, and the K&N System already and can outrun all trucks on the road including full size dodge's w/Hemi except for the new Tundra's and hope the Bully Dog gives me the edge there. Tundra drivers beware."

"I have this kit on my ranger and now my father has one on his explorer both vehicles had the same outcome MORE POWER!!! Before the intake the engine was sucking in air through a straw Now it is taking large health gulps of air and more air means a noticable increase in power. Plus if you live in CA the FIPK is a must as it is 50 state street legal."

"The instruction were not detailed enough about using parts from the OEM air box that was already on the truck. Installation of the heat shield was unclear of what to use to secure the heat shield. Overall performance of truck was great the exhaust temperature dropped significatley when towing."

"There seems to be a very obvious performance increase when you wind up the RPMs, cannot comment on the gas mileage. Sounds pretty nice, very beefy after 3500 RPMs, so much so my wife calls it obnoxious.
The only issue so far is on a bumpy road with acceleration vibration will cause the intake tube to vibrate against the heat shield, nothing to major, easily fixed with rubber trim. Very satisfied with my purchase, would recommend as a easy to install and - seemingly, did not dyno - noticeable performance modification."

"Very nicely engineered product, installation and fit is great. The seal was a little difficult to fit, but I got it. The performance increase is noticeable. My kit is on a 2007 TrailBlazer SS. Just a little bit of an aggressive rumble now too. I have no reason to doubt their HP gain claims, but we're going to the dyno later this week. Well worth the money."

"I love the intake. Installation was easy except for having to take out the stock air box that was about the only difficult part. Can tell a huge difference in power and as for the mpg well I cant tell because I cant stay off the throttle. Great product a little more then the other intakes but you get the reliability and guarantee from K&N that makes it worth it."

"The intake installation instructions were lacking to say the least for my 2004 Navigator! K & N could have done way better job in describing what parts go together. You are left to figure out certain things on your own. The system works well is loud and gives better response. However, my miles per gallon have certainly dropped, which I hoped would not happen. Overall, it is a trade off of horsepower versus miles per gallon."

"This is probably the best product i have bought for my truck. The power increase is amazing. My truck hasnt run so good in years. The intake looks real nice in the engine compartment. The sound you get is great as well. I really have to say the install wasnt very hard. Great product all around. Would definately recommend."

"The kit looks good, sounds good, and performs good.
You can really hear it suck in air at idle and I feel that it makes the supercharger a little louder too. The only thing wrong was that some of the parts didnt quite fit. I had to shave down some of the plastic connector pieces. Other than that I'm very happy with the kit!"

"i have a 01 gmc sierra c3 with the vortec 6000 6.0L V8. i had an avg mpg of about 13.7 i drove about 550 miles and the new mpg is sitting right about 14.4. and added 10 hp. for the price of this intake, and the price of fuel. it is well worth the cost. i have added duel flowmaster 50 delta series mufflers and they sound outstanding. i recommend this intake for anyone looking for any improvement in mpg or power, this is the one for you."

"This is my seconed K&N Air Intake having installed one on my previous truck. I am very pleased at not only the product but the immediate performance I noticed after installation. It reminded me of the 1950's & the cars I used to have running the Carter AFB & Holly AFB ...great sound & kick in the pants performance. I am matching up the K&N with a Gibson performance exhaust system nest week & expect to see greater performance."
