Install was not super smooth

"The removal of the old airbox is easy and the installation of the K&N is not difficult. Until I got to the heat shield that doesn't seem to have had the holes for some of the piping put in the appropriate place. Also a bracket for the piping was useless. If I had used it I would not have been able to use the heat shield. So if I would have realized this sooner I would have saved myself a lot of time during installation. Other than that I am very happy with the product."

"I recently ordered the K&N 69 Series Typhoon intake and I am pleased with its performance. I feel that there is a significant horsepower increase and also a better sound. Soon after the purchase, I also had dual exhaust put on my car and this, combined with the intake, brought my motor to life!"

"I bought one for my '04 Toyota Matrix, and noticed an immediate improvement in power, takeoff and acceleration. I believe that my gas mileage has improved, except I can't keep my foot out of the gas pedal to hear that mean 'ricer' growl that now comes from under the hood. Best $160 I ever spent!"

"This is my second (replacement) intake for this car. The first K&N intake broke after 3 years of use. I hope this next system lasts longer than the first - especially since they're somewhat expensive!"

"Great product. I love the fact that you can either use it as a short-ram intake or a complete cold air intake. produces an awesome sound. Unfortunately it took 4 hours to install, maybe it's just my model but the directions made it look and sound a lot easier than it was. overall- worth it."

"put this short ram on and did what it was made for.you have alot of persons telling to go cold air intake but sad part is you risk water from a rain storm getting in your engine and saying goodbye to your car.with this i get the same hp and knowing my car won't be in the junk yard.you really do notice and feel the difference in this car. the engine dos not suffer from lack of air that most air box's do in your car.and to those who still thinking of cold air. let me tell you this. that hose that gos to collect the air for your air box on your car or truck is used to flow air to the short ram.i have keep up or out run most v8 stock cars with this set up.and i only have a 4 cycler."

"Very pleased with product. Definitely improved throttle response and it certainly feels like at least a 10 HP increase. Noise increase isn't noticeable at steady speed, but definitely LOUD at more than half throttle."

"ive had my intake for about 3 weeks now, here is my review... pros.... -Saves me about 2 - 3.5 mpg on average -Improved response time between 35000 and 45000 rpm's -looks kinda cool after installed -instalation guide was somewhat easy to navigate, lots of pictures -options of having either a cold intake or just a simple ram air. (i went with cold intake) -Great price Cons... -not the cleanest of all throttle sounds -took too long to install the cold air intake (faster when installing only ram air)"

"I read most of the reviews before buying and installing. I was able to install in less than 1 hour with this knowledge. I have not noticed any significant increase in power, but my Suzuki Aerio is AWD and tends to hesitate in general. MPG also has no noticeable change. I hope to have more noticeable changes soon."

"Great quality, easy installation if u have the proper tools(ratchet). Great deep sound and a great increase in power and response. For $180 it is a worthwhile investment, plus a lot more gas mileage. If your worried about water getting into it, don't be, the drycharger that goes over the filter prevents any kind of debris or water from coming in. All in all its a GREAT PRODUCT!!!"
