"For 2007 Lexus IS 350, improvement of about 10 horsepower and 2 mpg highway...sounds great at high rpm's but isn't even noticable for calm city or highway driving...best bang for your buck in terms of a simple performance upgrade that will pay for itself over time..."

"I am now getting 44 miles per gallon highway at a constant 65 miles an hour. RPM's are 500 lower at that speed than they were before. Having a Mazda 3 2.0 standard shift is a good start. the typhoon is icing on the cake. I had previously put on a Magnaflow exhaust system"

"Just wanted to let you know that I put a K&N 69 Typhoon cold air intake on myself in about 2 hrs. It was very easy to install with excellent directions. I got about 10-12 horsepower increase to the wheels. If you are thinking about "easy" horsepower gains then there it is!"

"I installed my K&N Cold Air Intake system into my VW in about 3 hours. I took my time and the instructions were fantastic. I was blown away by the performance gain. I love the sound of my Jetta now that it's installed. Great upgrade for the price. Next upgrade is the Magnaflow Exhaust."

"The quality of this SRI is good. But be aware that the heat shield (HS) does NOT fit into the engine bay. Sure, you can force it in anyway, but it will damage the duct lines behind it. So you have two options:
1) Don't use the HS at all. The SRI will still operate just fine and will probably be identical in performance to Injen or Fujita. You will however have to use only one mounting point instead of two, to secure the SRI.
2) If you do wnat to take advantage of HS you will need to cut it around the edge to maket it fit.
As far as sale/shipping/etc expierience with AutoAnything, it is excellent. SRI arrived on time and in perfect condition."

Review of Typhoon 69 Intake for my civic

"I frankly was quite dissappointed to learn later that this product is not approved by the Califoria Emissions law after being told my one the 800 line customer reps that it was "Smog" legal and is not, I even called K & N in California and spoke to a rep and was told that it is still pending approval. I do like the intake, but I really don't know that it boosts my horsepower at all, I already changed my stock exhaust system and got an additional 28 horsepower but the intake itself did not improve my horsepower that much, but never the less I am "happy" with the 69 intakek, I had it professionaly installed my own mechanic so everything is correctly installed, it took a little over an hour and the instructions were not that easy to follow since the pictures were not that clear. I only have the single overhead cam 1.8 liter engine for the EX model, but overall I must say I am please with the performance, I now have about a 175 horses, that's combined with the my exhaust system I got done at a custom header shop."

"I installed this into my '05 Subaru WRX and immediately noticed an increase in power. When you hit the gas you can hear the K&N sucking in air. It just feels like the engine isn't being held back like before. I've also noticed a slight increase in gas mileage. K&N always comes through and now I'm thinking of putting a FIPK system in my '04 Pathfinder. I would definitely recommend anything by K&N!"

"I have an 04 acura tl 6-spd, the kit took about 2 1/2 hours to put on mostly due to 1 bolt that was on the resonator in a really akward spot and hard to get to. The car sounds completely different now, a lot deeper especially above 4k rpms, haven't dyno'd it so couldn't tell you about power at the wheels. Once you get all the factory stuff off it's easy to put on. Now time for the exaust..."

"2003 PT 2.4 Turbo Cruiser
I paid for professional installation. The loud sucking noise from the rapid moving intake of air is requiring a little getting use to for my liking.
The slight lugging down on some hills, prior to the transmission shifting or increased acceleration has all but disappeared due, I think, to the added power realized.
My Cruiser was getting just at 20 mpg. After the first tank of 11.888 gallons and 228.3 miles it hasn’t changed at all.

"Sound great & +hp. if u r driving a R18 u must know it lag during the low rpm. this SRI will solved this problem. and you'll feel hp gain special low to mid end rpm. i had tried CAI on my frd's R18 i only feel +hp in high end rpm. Easy to install, the longest part is the adjust the angle of the pipe otherwise the filter will touch the ECU. now its work great on me."
