"This Intake is awsome. Pretty easy installation, directions were great, came with a few of the tools needed to install it. Cheap price and quick shipment. As for the performance, it does what it says. I notice a bit more power, accelleration is much more aggressive along with the sound. Couldn't ask for more."

Nice Look, slight performanc Gain

"It looks great. I actually noticed a slight increase in power. There has also been an increase in my Gas Mileage too. Although I have only used one tank since the install. The only drawback is the intake and mount are a little flimsy. The air filter is also a thin compared to the factory paper element. I live in a dusty environment, so I called K&N to see if they sell a better filtering filter. Their response was that their filter was made for environments such as mine."

"Great product! Looks good. I can feel minor added power at higher revs but the sound is awesome. I really like the way it sounds stock until I push it and the throaty roar kicks in. Installation was a bit tough and I've got mechanical skills. The front driver's tire and wheel have to be removed in order to remove the stock intake parts that go all the way into the front bumper. One of the retention bolts was almost unreachable and I had stop to go to buy a universal socket joint set. Once the stock unit was finally out, installation was a breeze."

"Installation was straight forward but the pictures in the instructions was difficult to make out. I was initially surprised to hear the air passing through the system whenever the turbo began to spool up; not extremely loud but noticeable. Fortunately the sound disappears when there is no load on the turbo - no increase in noise level when on the freeway. Motor seems to rev more freely and pickup is better in the midrange."

Typhoon intake system for subaru legacy GT 05'

"It's been about 3 weeks since I installed the system. It's really easy to install and the fit is perfect! The engine runs without any problems;you can hear the engine breathing pretty nicely, allthough I thought that the sound would be little deeper. You can feel better response and acceleration;can not provide details. K&N could make the system available in more finish options. Only in black finish now!I'm happy with the product overall and I recommend it!"

"The intake was very easy to install. Only three tools required. Took about 30 min to do and was well worth it. After the warm up of the engine I took it for a little test run at 130 miles per hour. Responce was much better and there was a noticeable increase in horse power and torque. The car could have went faster but the front end began to float a bit so I had to let off. All in all was well worth the money and I am looking forward to see the increase in gas mileage at the next fill up."

"I noticed a smoother ride and better throttle response with the Typhoon Short Ram intake. It provides a subtle but noticable HP gain and a lower throaty engine note. However, the "Z" clamp did not fit propely and the filter fell off after one month due to engine movement."

"The installation was quicken and easy. The throttle response was quite noticeable and fuel economy on the freeway has not been hampered. I'm very pleased to with the performance increase to my 2000 Ford focus. I would recommend K&N products to anyone looking to increase the performance of their vehicle. Infact I have five vehicles and they all have a K&N products installed. haven't had"

"I installed this system on my VW R32, I didn't notice any change in power during speeding or on low speed. The car is breathing better and I'm getting better fuel consumption. The system was an exact fit to my car and installation was very easy with the provided instructions."

retrofit Typhoon 69 series to Focus SVT w/Jackson Racing Blower

"I love the powder-coated finish and overall quality. I think a minor mod will be necessary to modify the installation to compensate for the slightly different location of the SVT throttle body when installing on a Focus with the Jackson Racing Supercharger. Maybe K&N could supply an extra length of flex hose."

"Well the stock restrictive air flow must have been robbing this motor of a lot of power. Application was on a 2002 Honda Civic Si (Little Mini Van as some call it). No other mods on this car and you can really feel the difference in pull on you as you accelerate from a standing start. It really frees up the motor from about 3000 through to redline, pulling much stronger all the way. I noticed 1st gear tire spin-age from a smooth start if I punched it without dropping the clutch. 2nd Gear was the same with some tire spin out of corners; next upgrade will have to be tires and sway bars. The stock tires are the reason we only had 160hp from the start. They just let go too easy.
Really pleased with the added power and pull. The sound from the motor is a deep growl but only when you open her all the way.
You can find cheaper versions of this but without the carb exempt sticker you won’t pass emissions. So go with the K&N 69.
Lastly, this is not a cold air installation but there is plenty of room under the wheel well to suck the cold stuff.
Installation was easy, with good detailed instructions and took me about 30 minutes. Most of the time was in taking the old filter box out. About 10 minutes to install the new system.
Now for the real stuff. Stock dyno test showed the base car pulling 137.3 hp at the wheels and 123.4 torque in 4th gear outside temp 78.7. After install 144.6hp and 127.8 torque in 4th gear outside temp 79.4. Not bad for $140, not bad at all!!"
