"When seeking out a new intake for my 2003 WRX, I was referred to the K&N Typhoon as a good alternative to the Cobb or SPT. Ordered and received the product. Installation was easy for the mechanic (1 hr total labor to install). The sound of the Intake is very impressive and I've noticed significant gains."

"No problems or issues except I broke off the plastic fitting for one of the vaccuum lines inside the intake. ( I over-tightened it) I was able to back it out and find a replacement easily. Just be careful not to over-tighten this piece when you install it. The short-ram intake sounds great at WOT, especially in the upper cams!"

"After completely installing and checking the function of my Typhoon intake I took it on a quick road test. All I can say is when I heard my 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 chirp when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear a smile came to my face like a little boy on X-mas morning. I was really impressed with the horsepower my vehicle gained from this product. The sound that comes from the Typhoon intake once you give it some gas is beautiful. Great job guys. I did have a small issue when attempting to install my intake though. I received the wrong size lock nuts for the mounting brackets and had to drop everything and drive down to the local Pep Boys auto parts shop. Basically, someone didn’t pack the right items in the box, sorry guy there was a lack of attention to details but excellent product like I said earlier."

"My husband installed this in my 2009 Scion xD automatic in less than an hour. Acceleration has improved, seems to have a bit more oomph in 2nd gear. I haven't run a full tank of gas thru the car since the install, so I can't say yet about gas mileage improvement, but it seems to be taking longer than usual to run thru a tank of gas, so my guess is there will be some improvement there as well. We use K & N products in our vehicles, and will continue to do so as long as we're driving."

Steve's K&N Review

"It took about four hours this past Friday to remove the stock 2008 Nissan 350Z intake system and install the K&N dual intake system. Considering I did it alone, I don't think it was unreasonable. I drove the car to Jacksonville yesterday and was impressed with the increased hp at higher speeds. Since I had installed a Borla exhaust system previously I anticipate that I increased the total hp by about 10%. The exhaust sound is much "mellower" and when you accelerate at 55 or 60 the engine "screams"."

"I own a 02 civic si, and I used to have a AEM cold air intake. Don't give me wrong, AEM product is very good as well, but I changed to K&N initially for dryer driving condition, because my car had been chocked twice by water all ready. After intensive research I decided to go for K&N typhoon series, I installed just about a week ago and I'm in love with it! People always said 'SRI' will loose the power, that's not true, at least it's too minor to feel it! On top the good looking of the intake, my baby is now pulling so hard and fast, because the torque that I just gained from the system vs. cold air intake. I will recommend it to folks who are hesitating, and unable to decide in between the cold air intake or short ram intake(I was one of them), K&N sri is the way to go! You may, just may loose few top end ponies(I bid you can't even feel it), but you don't never have to worry about the water problems, and of course the low end torque gaines is where it makes every day drive with smile on the face. Also auto everything has very good customer service and fast ship too. Thanks so much to Jason personally!"

"This is the only performance upgrade on my car. Once I installed the Typhoon in my 2007 civic SI the car had a deeper, throatier sound. Once I got the car into V-Tech(6,000 RPM) the added power and sound were impressive to say the least. I get more of a punch when I change lanes in traffic and the SI is a lot more fun to drive. It seems like I have a little more torque when I start off. I keep peeling out accidentally and that never happened when the car was stock. Gas mileage is good, it could be better if I drove the car a lot slower."
