"This is a truly great product. K&N thought of everything designing this thing, even a hanger for the transmission vent tube and a bit of rubber edging to go around the sheet metal in the fender well, to prevent vibration and scratching of the intake itself. Install was a tad more difficult than I expected, but that was mostly due to the removal of the stock bits. The intake (in red) looks fantastic, the sound is AMAZING at WOT, and a definite power gain could be felt. I highly recommend this product, and AutoAnything, who sold me the intake for $60 cheaper than anywhere else."

"For one reason or another I heard nothing but bad remarks about this kit. The instructions were very straightforward in informative. I cut out the lower front valance "vent" so that the filter had complete access to fresh air. This is THE most effective power per dollar investment for the S2000. I KNOW I gained at least 9-12bhp (more than the claimed advertisement) from the kit's placement and by cutting away the front bumper "vent". Not to mention I’m now AVERAGING 26-27mpg! The cutting of the front bumper “vent” made a significant difference in power at speed and the angry growling sound from 6k-9K RPM."

"Received the package earlier than expected. Installation took the 90 minutes that was expected. Problems w/ the fire shield (had to trim back some of the tin flashing) and hose clamps (reused a stock clamp, and the large clamp to hold the filter was missing, so I used 2 smaller ones together). The immediate noticable change was in the new growl coming from under the hood! Performance-wise nothing to noticable; finally averaging 20mpg, and pickup is a little quicker. Great buy if you like the tuner sound of an engine."

K&N short ram air intakes 2007 Civic Coupe EX

"I got the K&N short ram air intake for my 2007 Civic coupe EX and I have been happy so far with this product. It seems to have increased the throttle response. I am yet to see an increase in fuel efficiency. Nevertheless, I am definitely happy with the sound of the engine. The engine sounds absolutely 'normal' and quiet until you really step on the gas pedal and go over 4000rpm. That's when my Civic seems to go from adolescence into adulthood. Nice deep throaty sound!
I'll recommend it to anyone just because of the sound. However, make sure you ask a professional mechanic to install and do NOT install it yourself. It took my mechanic more than an hour to install it.

"Installation was easy, only one minor issue. The PCV Vent line to the intake that was provided was too long, and I had to trim it down, but thats minor. All hardware was provided and only needed basic hand tools. I'm seeing ~2mpg better on the trip computer, a bit more midrange in the butt dyno, and a nice deep grunt from the crappy ecotec 4cyl."

"I decided to order a cold air intake for my '05 Mazda3S a couple of weeks ago. Once it came to the house, the next day I started working to install it. The intake itself is easy to install, the time consuming part is removing the air filter chamber and the resonator, because the only way to really get to that is to take off the front tire. But once all of the old parts were out, the installation of the intake was a snap.
The intake doesn't add a huge amount of HP, but a lifetime filter that you clean vs buying a $50 one every time you turn around.. the savings are plain to see. I recommend this as a great alternative to conventional air filters, plus it's so easy to install.. even for chicks. :)"

"At an idle I really couldn't hear a difference untill I reaved my engine to about 3k rpm. The overall horsepower gain isn't alot but I could tell im getting a quicker acceleration closer to my top end. And in about 3rd and 4th gear my engine has a deeper sound higher in the rpms. Overall i'm very happy with my purchase and can't wait to hook up an exhaust and see how much of a difference that makes."

"It looks good, and the first installation attempt was fairly easy. I say first because, through no apparent fault of K&N, Pontiac chose to mix and match parts (this, the brakes, the airbox...) on the early model G6's. The included adapter elbow (3") was too large for the throttle body (2.75"). I called K&N and they were helpful but didn't have a solution - so I'm ordering a silicone adapter from another site to bridge the gap.
Only thing I really wasn't happy with was the fit of the heat shield box around the filter - it doesn't seal the area worth a hoot. Either dig out your welder or order a rain sock for the filter.
The engineers at K&N did request that I photo document the install and the issues so they can review and possibly incorporate changes to the instructions / parts list, so they get an A in my book."

I installed the K&N TYPHOON CCAI on my Acura TSX and you can definately feel the difference when you hit it, and the sound is awsome specialy when your hauling ass. The installation is simple enough for any one to install it by themselves all you need are basic tools.overall I'm satisfied with the purchase I made is good enough for me and at good pri$e."
