My car is now a Transformer!

"I hesitated installing this K&n 63 into my 2006 S2000 because I did not want to veer far from the stock engineering imaging the car company had already refined the car to near perfection. The two benefits I noticed immediately was first that it did not affect the stock sound much until I hit around 5000 rpms. Then the engine note turns into an intoxicating roar. I found myself shifting at higher rpms just to hear that music. Second was what seemed like a serious boost in acceleration. The downside to those positives is because of more aggressive driving, my gas mileage plumetted from 20-25 to 16! The flip side was on a road trip, when I calculated that even at higher speed driving I got over 30 mpg! Overall I am very happy with the purr and extra boost."

"I put this on my 03 Silverado along with a magnaflow dual exhaust. With this setup I noticed about a 1-2 mpg gain. It took about an hour for me to install the intake. Well worth the money considering AutoAnything had the lowest price i could find on the web. Definite difference in acceleration and it sounds awesome!"

Nissan 350Z K&N 63 series cold air intake

"My experience with AutoAnything has been excellent. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for K&N. I am an experienced mechanic and found it impossible to install the intake without contact between the unsupported heat shield and a/c plumbing and the underside of the hood. Abrasion was causing damage and the system was removed. It was returned with the promise that it would be inspected and the results would be sent to me. Two months later and no response. Customer service offered about $20 off the price of another type system. This is ridiculous considering the hours I spent with installation and trouble shooting with their technical staff. These are not good people to deal with."

"I bought it because it's a K&N. However, the filter is a VERY flimsy design, NOT something of high quality that I'd expect from them. One caveat, however, is that the filter's "sheer" quality may be what yields the reported outstanding flow. All I know is that the K&N filter material that is used on the V8 design is of a higher quality, ie: more of it. Either way, it is way overpriced. Probably cost K&N under 20 dollars to make in CHINA."

"The kit came quickly. The removal and installation took less then an hour and the fit looks cool. The truck seems to have a little more power when traveling up hill on the highway. It sounds neat; a little on the loud side at around 5,000 RPM, but not loud at all with normal driving. Not sure about the gas milage yet because it is hard not to get on it (the sound factor) makes you want to do it."

Blowin Out The Air Intake

"I have found that the K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit has proven to be worth the time and effort to install. I removed the stock air intake system and replaced it with the K&N 63 Series. I have been truly suprised by the change. The pick up at the change of gears is wonderful. I have one complaint.... the installation of the K&N 63 Series system was more difficult to install that the directions indicate, especially with installation of the rubber molding. I had to glue it on to keep it in place."

"It was very hard to actually feel the pull, but you will definateley see the speedometer climb just a little faster.
But I felt a difference when I climbed a dirt hill. When I just had exhaust, I had to bogg down to 1st. My little truck couldnt make it up in any gear but first. Then after I had the intake, I climbed up it without high rpm's or spinning tires. I even shifted all the way into third gear at the top. So it gives you a considerably big difference when you want to climb or haul.
Before the intake kit, the ehaust sounded cool and deep, but when the rpm's got to around 3500, the engine hum grew louder than the disipating exaust sound. Now after the intake kit was installed, The engine became quieter and the exhaust got louder. And now the engine never gets louder than the exhaust. The exhaust becomes more agressive and throatier and the higher rpm range.
For those who also have the 2.3 Ranger, they will know that you cant drive faster than +/-65 on the freeway. Now you still wont be able to accelerate from 50 to 70 as fast as other vehicles, but you will now make a definate slow climb up to 70 or 80.
The temp under the hood with this intake and some performance ehaust will be a lot cooler. Healthy for the engine. Prolongs the engine life.
Very good product, Im happy with it. Easy installation and explicit instructions. 45 min."

"I found the installation instructions to be fairly straight forward. The installation was pretty painless and easy to do. The benefits of the intake seemed to be mainly sound and increased throttle response. Definately loud at first and it seems to quiet down the exhaust considerably. Definately would reccomend the product to anyone."

Received on time, installation was very easy and took about 30 minutes. Haven't driven much yet but what driving I've done, there seems to be a little more pep. Will report on any fuel improvements after a few tank fills.
Very pleased with AutoAnything's website... and love the great prices too."

Mercury Marauder K&N Intake

"The K&N Intake system for my Marauder was an easy install, taking less then one hour. The sound at idle is no different then the stock intake. The big difference is when you get the throttle body open to half or more. The can quickly revs and sounds like it has an old Quadrajet carburator. The seat of the pants tells you that the claimed gain in horsepower is there. The wonderful sound the intake makes tell you and anyone within ear shot that the car means business.
The looks are as great as the sound.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting to improve the performance of their car."
