"i got the K&N after my wife said she wanted more power. since it delivered about 10HP and some torque i got it. the kit is designed ok but a Cold Air Intake it is not.
there is a large space between the intake hose and housing (i know it's for engine movement) but K&N should have included a rubber sleeve to slip over the tube and seal that area off and still have movement.
the other prob is you need to remove a heater hose clip that is attached to the valve cover and let the hose hang.
overall the kit is good, easy to install and my wife says she can feel a bit of difference. so, she is happy with it.
the purchase and delivery went perfect, autoanything is a great place to order from."

"I liked the kit, but the following improvements could be made: 1. Add T20P Torque Set Bit. It is hard to find in Tucson, Az. 2. Recommend adding a safety pin or something including a totally new interface to the filter that guarintees that the filter never falls off due to vibration and allows dirt to be sucked into engine. The filter is angled down and if the clamp comes loose, the filter could fall off."

"i installed the 63 series on my 2006 yukon xl denali, i could not be happier, the power right of the line is incredible, i never thought i could get this much power out of my car, also it sounds great and makes my exausht louder, the mpg increase is about 2-3 which is great. I bought a 500 dollar programmer for my car and i get more power from the intake than i do from the chip, recommeded for everyone."

"I’ve only had the mentioned K&N on my vehicle for a few weeks and so far so good. I haven’t noticed much of a HP increase but then again, when my vehicle already puts out over 300 HP, I’m really not going to notice to much more. I purchased it for the purpose of less maintenance and hopefully better gas mileage."

"I have had a couple of these FIPK's before, and this one works fine, but my big dislike is that you have to unbolt the intake tube from the box that surrounds the filter in order to get the filter out to clean it. That is a step I don't look forward to in a few thousands miles. Not sure why this was overlooked by K&N."

"Excellent installation instructions-took less than 1 hr to install. Although this kit provided increased hp at higher RPMs, part-throttle response suffered, as did low RPM torque. The factory intake has a tuned chamber which provides vacuum to accesories that K&N kit lacks. Also, the "free-air" design draws too much hot air from the engine compartment - they shouldn't call it a Cold AIr Intake. In hot weather the performance diminished even further. After 2 months I removed the K&N kit and reinstalled the factory intake which I modified to remove restrictions while maintaining the "cold" air ducting."

"The Aircharger really seems to boost power as well as help with the fuel economy. If there is one aspect that makes it worse than the original equipment, it would be the noise. The engine noise level has really gone up compared to the stock equipment. Just be prepared for the added noise."

"Easy to install it took about an hour. At idle or during normal drive it’s not much louder but when you put your foot into it a little more you can hear and feel the difference. Not much of a fuel gain maybe 1mpg. I have not had it very long so hoping to see a little more of an increase."
