Description

Before K&N's latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a 63 Series AirCharger. It's what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out of the famous K&N factory.

K&N starts every 63 Series Intake with the largest possible Filtercharger cloth filter that will fit your vehicle. Massive airflow runs through this washable, reusable filter for the biggest power gains. Couple that with K&N's crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant.

Best yet, adding this raw power takes less than 90 minutes and requires no drilling or modification. Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit make this DIY project a breeze. Plus, K&N includes a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty with your 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit. So, why wait? Place your order for raw 63 Series power now.

"SIMPLY AMZING! this was my first time installing any type of aftermaket part and it took me 40mins. This intake increased my Whp a lot and now i take off the line super fast! The sound is really loud and i love the way i can hear the filter sucking in the air. I have the short ram setup and i would'nt change one thing about it! Great product!"

04' Lincoln Navigator - FIPK Air Intake AWSOME

Posted on 02/07/2008 by James B. - 2004 Lincoln Navigator (Holladay,UT)

"This sounds awesome when you first start it up. Its a little louder when your driving and put your foot down. There is definitely more power around 2500-3500 rpms. I initially so about a 1-2 improvement in gas mileage, but now it hard to tell. We have had it installed for about 3 weeks. Removal of the factory system was some what of a pain. In step 6 & 8 it talks about two retaining grommets that you really have to pull hard to get them out. It holds the factory airbox to a mounting bracket that is bolted to the vehicle. Instruction say, "8. Remove the entire stock air intake assembly from the vehicle." I had to pull so hard that I thought I was going to break something. Look at the picture in step 9 to see the two holes that the grommets are anchored into. Step 11 is a little difficult because you can't really see what your trying to do. The idea is that you are releasing a little tab. Don't stick the screwdriver into the tiny slit, use the screwdriver to push a release, toward the cables. The edge trim that was shipped was not long enought to go all the way around the heat shield. The next difficult step was 20, "Install the air temp sensor into the grommet as shown." The hard part is that the grommet would push into the intake tube and not seal the air temp sensor, so be careful to hold it from slipping inside the tube as up push the sensor in. Overall it wasn't too bad. It took about 2 hrs from start to finish. I am really impressed with this system. So much that I bought two other systems, one for another Navigator and one for an F150. I'll post my reviews on those separately. Good luck and happy driving!"

Worth the money...

Posted on 02/07/2008 by Ryan S. - 2005 Ford F150 (Ypsilanti,MI)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"The FIPK installation was a snap. No problems at all. The sound it added to the vehicle is very throaty, sounds nice. It definetly adds the extra throttle response and HP stated. I had the Edge on the truck already so I was able to monitor air intake temperature before and after and I have mixed feelings about it. With the stock set up the IAT was always 10 degrees over the outside air no matter what I was doing. With the K&N it's 6 degrees over outside air while moving so it's a 4 degree cooler system. The problem is that when your sitting at idle or at a stop light the temperatur goes WAY up. I've seen 25 degrees HOTTER then the outside air. So on an average basis if your moving it's great, stop and go traffic not so great. But even with the hotter air it's still a great improvement in air flow. I'd recommend it. MPG savings are maybe 1 on the highway. I noticed 2.5 with the Edge alone though."

I had my 8 year read the directions as I did the work. I will continue to make my purchases on this website and not to mention the price is great. Sounds nice - great horse power - no real big notice on the gas. Looks great under the hood. Highly recommend! 5 STARS"

"I put the K&N 77 Cold Air Intake on my 2007 Tacoma. The install took about 45 minutes and the instructions wre perfect. My truck has better low end torque with the 77 and the idle is smoother as well. The 77 Series complements the Borla Flow Through exhaust I already had on the truck. I highly recommend this unit."

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.

"Received the packaged on time, however there was a part missing, directly called K&N and they sent the missing part right away. I was impressed with customer service respond. Installation was not difficult. I can feel the power at higher RPM. Gushing air creates a roaring sound but it's tolerable and like it. There's a gap in the lower portion of the enclosure. Why can't K&N engineers totally enclosed the filter? I've notice an increase in mileage 1.5-2 mpg on a conservative driving."

2000 Crown Vic

Posted on 02/04/2008 by Brian G. - 2000 Ford Crown Victoria (Willow Springs,IL)

"Great upgrade. I wish I did this years ago. The kit only took an hour and half to install with some drilling required(had to relocate the outside air temp. sensor to the new K&N) acceleration was the most obvious difference... way better, and the trans down shifts less when going up hills/ramps. The engine bay looks great and sound is great too with my dual exhaust, it no longer sounds like the car suffocating. I have noticed some increase in gas mileage, but I'm sure it will get better when I don't have to warm the car up iin single digit weather anymore"
