"This made a remarkable improvement in performance! It now runs like I felt it should have when I first bought it. Throttle response and acceleration at WOT are both much better. One glitch during installation with defective threading in the attachment point for the bolt that holds the metal bracket betweeh the intake tube and the engine block. We got it screwed in, but if we ever have to take it off the threads will probably be mucked up."

"The installation was easy, the fit was good. With a base of 500hp it is hard to tell if there is a performance improvement without testing which I have not done. Happy with the addition. Sounds good."

"Other than the quick acc. which is cool, This unit tends to cause a stumble in engine r.p.m. while at idle in park. Kinda sounds like a drum when it stumbles. All in all I'm thinking about removing it and re-selling. If it didnt cause a stumble (new car w/ less then 2000miles) Then i'd keep it."

"2006 Silverado Crew Cab 4X4 5.3L Flexfuel The kit arrived two days early and that was great. All the good things that have already been expressed are true (shifting, power, and nice sound) - but still holding the jury out on the gas mileage. The install is not bad - but - here are a few tips. There are two differant size clamps !! Each connection is very tight and needs a lot of patience and time to make the proper connection. Even then I had to realy work the over lap areas to get a connection and totally back out the clamps and restart them in order to get them into the proper postion."

Easy and worth it - 06 Xterra

"The install took about 60 mins - the hardest part was putting on the the stripping around the metal box. Directions were easy and understandable for a DIYer. The intake has already increased my gas milage and sounds great. The jumpyness of the gas pedal at starts and midrange was annoying - once I added the aircharger it all but dissapeared. Smoother ride and listening to that thing growl up the hills and around 4500 rpm is nice. Great investment and wish I had done it sooner."

"The K&N Intake Kit increased my milage by only 1/3 of gallon over the stock setup, from 19.99 MPG to 20.33 MPG on the highway. The increase in power is not noticable. The K&N literature claims a mere 8 HP increase. Also, the darn thing is very noisy during any significant acceleration. I think I've justed wasted $250.Buying lottery tickets would have been a better investment!"

"I got my filter in and to be honest I felt it was a little over my head to install it. I probably could have did it myself, but it would have taken a while. My dad installed it in 2 hours. Said it was fairly easy. On a long trip, it seems to have saved about a quarter tank of gas, haven't calculated the numbers yet, but it sounds GREAT!"

"The aircharger has definately added a little life to my truck. The biggest difference is the sound. It has a very aggresive sound that is awesome. Also noticed about 1 mpg increase so far as well. Nice investment!"
