Description

Before K&N's latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a 63 Series AirCharger. It's what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out of the famous K&N factory.

K&N starts every 63 Series Intake with the largest possible Filtercharger cloth filter that will fit your vehicle. Massive airflow runs through this washable, reusable filter for the biggest power gains. Couple that with K&N's crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant.

Best yet, adding this raw power takes less than 90 minutes and requires no drilling or modification. Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit make this DIY project a breeze. Plus, K&N includes a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty with your 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit. So, why wait? Place your order for raw 63 Series power now.

"Went from an ok ride to a smile induced thrill. Was getting 13.5mpg in city to 16.3mpg now.Haven't travelled on highway long enough to see were that figure is yet.But it sure is fun getting on the freeway now!!Installation is easy after the stock air box is removed. NOTE-change mufflers out for bullets(sound goes out the back with no resonance in car further enhancing the flow of the filter)"

very nice power gain and sound

Posted on 01/31/2008 by Sharon S. (Upland,CA)

"Installation was a snap and I loved the power boost in the higher rpm ranges. The rich tone it creates is great the only caution would be to be cautious of deep puddles because the intake is down so low"

great sound

Posted on 01/31/2008 by Timothy H. - 2004 Chevy Silverado (Milton,NY)

"The kit went on easy, the only problem was the fit to the throttlebody. The hose there could be a little larger for the clamps. Too soon to tell if mileage increased but the throttle response is better and it sounds great."

"I have noticed a difference in throttle response since the instal. Very mean sounding, but sounds stock if you baby the throttle. One downside is that I'm tempted to drive the car harder, thus mgp has seemed to drop. Overall happy with my order. K&N is the one to go with."

2006 Mitsubishi Raider

Posted on 01/30/2008 by Gerald S. - 2006 Mitsubishi Raider (Peoria,IL)

"First off, the price was fantastic and free shipping, can't beat that! Secondly, after reading some of the other reviews I thought that I bought nothing but a show piece but I was wrong. Not only did it look good under the hood the performance was out of this world! To some those who drove vehicles with a quadrajet (4 barrel carb) and flipped the top of the breather over, well I thought I was back in my high school days.: ) After I got over the deep throaty roar, which by the way was heard clearly over the flowmaster exhaust I have on, I got down to seeing if the increase in mileage was also true. Low and behold it was, I went from 13.5 MPG(Highway) to almost 18MPG, roughly 17.8. the vehicle is as the title says, it is 4x4 with 265/70/16 tires, a 4.7 V8 with an automatic. It also has a no side window topper on it. Over-all, the performance & mileage is outstanding and I would recommend this product combined with an exhaust system. Next step is to chip it but thats another story."

Awesome air intake!

Posted on 01/30/2008 by Chris S. - 2003 Mazda 6 (Cambridge,MD)

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful.

"I purchased this air intake a few weeks ago, and I absolutely love it! I have it configured as a short ram presently, and I have no plans to do the full install. I really like that I have the option to install the additional pipe at a later time, though! As for the sound, it gives my Mazda 6S tons of gruff! I must admit, I haven't had my stereo turned on for the past few weeks since the sound of my car is so appealing. Dead serious! You can definitely notice more pep while driving, and contrary to some claims, I've yet to get a "check engine light" error! I should also mention that the biggest reason I purchased this air intake is that I knew I wanted a short ram, and this is the ONLY ONE that will fit my car; the only other one that comes close is the AEM short ram, but I spoke to AEM directly, and they confirmed that their short ram intake will NOT work with a manual transmission '03 Mazda 6S. Regardless, I'm glad that I purchased the K&N intake, and I'm sure I would've missed out had I purchased anything else! The only complaint I have is that the included directions were a little unclear. They include step-by-step pictures, but the actual printing quality is pretty low. I'd recommend downloading the .pdf installation instructions for your car directly from the K&N website."

K&N 77 Series Metal Intake Kit

Posted on 01/30/2008 by David B. - 2007 Toyota Tundra (Shreveport,LA)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"Great looking intake! The performance difference is significant with an awesome sound when driving hard! I think K&N could have done a better job with sealing the heat shroud to the engine compartment, too many big gaps near the fender & to the hood, letting engine heat in & decreasing possible performance. The rubber seal around the heat shield was also very difficult to put on & could have been more flexible."

"I bought the K&N cold air intake for my 2004 Ford F-250 and let me tell you, it is AWESOME! Noticeable difference in horsepower and torque. Along with these changes, my truck now has a deeper sound to it. Plus, it is a real head turner under the hood; lot better looking than the stock air box."
