Description

Before K&N's latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a 63 Series AirCharger. It's what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out of the famous K&N factory.

K&N starts every 63 Series Intake with the largest possible Filtercharger cloth filter that will fit your vehicle. Massive airflow runs through this washable, reusable filter for the biggest power gains. Couple that with K&N's crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant.

Best yet, adding this raw power takes less than 90 minutes and requires no drilling or modification. Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit make this DIY project a breeze. Plus, K&N includes a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty with your 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit. So, why wait? Place your order for raw 63 Series power now.

63 series for F250

Posted on 01/29/2008 by Josef G. (Escondido,CA)

"The 63 series seems to allow much better breathing for the 5.4 liter engine. Throttle response is improved. I can't verify the claims of better gas milage but there seems to be much better acceleration throughout the upper half of the rev range(33-4500 rpm.) As for the installation, anyone with a basic set of hand tools and a little mechanical know how should be able to install it easily in about 1-1.5 hours. All the hardware was in the packaging. The instructions were foolproof. I would highly recommend this product to other 2005 F 250 owners."

Not Bad

Posted on 01/29/2008 by Roland B. (Castro Valley,CA)

"Wrangler Unlimitted Sahara 2008 Easy install: 1 hour (most difficult was to remove air sensor - use air dryer to help you) Look: looks good Power: power gain (8 hp) is at 4800 rpm...so if you cruise at 65mph (2000rpm) you will not see the effects of the cold air intake...oer 3000 rpm the wrangler feels better Gas Mileage: no real difference Noise: way better after you reach 3000 rpm"

K & N Intake Kit

Posted on 01/28/2008 by Bruce M. - 2003 BMW 330i (Kansas City,MO)

"All parts appear well-made. If installed per instrx, the heat-shield will cut into the top radiator hose. Shimming the forward heat-shield mounting hole with 3/8 inch thickness of washers gives 1/4 inch clearance between heat-shield and top radiator hose. Other than that everything fit perfectly. Intake noise is no louder than stock; just a deeper, less strangled tone. Seat of the pants says noticeable power increase; especially on the big end while approaching red-line. This is the best bang for the buck on a BMW 330i motor."

Awesome

Posted on 01/28/2008 by Jonathan K. - 2001 Toyota Tacoma (Sturbridge,MA)

"Easy install and looks good. Noticed an increase in throttle response but as of gas mileage its hard to figure because I shift at higher rpm now because of the sweet throaty sound it makes over 3500 rpm."

K&N FIPK Air Intake on a 99 GP GTP

Posted on 01/27/2008 by Gregory H. - 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix (Perryville,MO)

"I really bought this to see if I could get a little better gas milage ... the extra horsepower was just a bonus. Before, the best I got was about 25 mpg on the highway. Now the best I've gotten is 27.25. Of course if you're driving to enjoy gains in horsepower you probably won't get any better gas mileage. I actually didn't feel as much change in horsepower as I had hoped. However, my car red-lines at 5500 rpm and the biggest gains from the product are supposed to be experienced at about 5000rpm, which I try to stay away from. I ran it up there once or twice and I think it put me back in my seat a little bit more that usual. Overall I am satisfied. With the 2 mpg increase it will eventually pay for itself. Good product. Also, easy to install."

Performance

Posted on 01/26/2008 by Steven G. (Knoxville,TN)

"Good directions to install. Took me about 2 hours due to being nitpicky about cleaning throttle body and under old air cleaner prior to install. After install I started the engine and everything sounded the same. I took the car for a drive and pulled away slowly. Still the same quiet sound. What is nice is the sweet sound of performance when you put your foot into it. Great product."

"Nice sound seems cheaper on gas, I added Duralube to fuel and oil at the same time, but it seems to go farther on a tank. Delivery wad super quick 3 days I think. I just ordered the chip programmer should add some HP. I think you can expect 10 to 20 new HPs but with the chip reprogrammed it gets closer to 40. Well worth the $$$$"

Posted on 01/25/2008 by Terry J. - 2007 Ford F150 (Monroe,LA)

"Very easy install, Perfect fit.One of the best fitting aftermarket parts I have ever used. I added this as a last step of changes (preditor-exhaust)first.Each step helped but adding the K-N 63 high flow intake brought the truck to life. I have not experienced any thing negative, The positive is better performance with a moderate increase in fuel mileage(1.25-1.5mpg)."

Just about perfect

Posted on 01/24/2008 by Hans P H. - 2007 Toyota Tacoma (Mission,BC)

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful.

"The installation was easy and quick with only one problem. The kit was supposed to contain two M4x7 mm bolts for the mass air sensor but the supplied bolts were 12 mm long and had to be cut to make it work. The finished installation looks great and together with the Magnaflow Cat back exhaust the pick-up and performance seem to be better!"

Posted on 01/24/2008 by Michael N. - 1999 Dodge Dakota (Henderson,NV)

"The reason why I purchased a cold air intake was to hopefully get a little better gas mileage. Just the opposite is true. My average went from 16mpg to 14mpg. The sound it makes sucking in air is terrible too. I went back to my old setup with a regular K&N filter"
