"INSTALL-- 2 bolts too short, heat shield doesn't "seal" to hood. otherwise ok.
STYLE-- looks hot!
SOUND-- slightly more at full throttle only.
MILEAGE-- after 2 months, 0 to 1/2 mpg increase.
PERFORMANCE-- increased at full throttle, otherwise not noticable.
VALUE-- for saving gas, not really worth cost IMO."

"just installed k&n intake and filter system on my 2006 pt cruiser turbo. instant throttle response, less turbo lag, seems to spool up quicker, and really can hear the turbo spin. gas mileage seems same, but so much fun to get on it, you may lose a little mileage unless you keep your foot out of it. install took about i hr. was easy and all hardware was good quality."

Great Increase in Upper End

"I have noticed a huge differance in the get up and go when driving at highway speed and you are needing to pass. The air noise is quite differant from the factory filter when punching it or towing heavy loads. But you can not tell any differance during normal driving conditions. Great Product highly recommended."

"This product is a definite must have for any of my trucks. Its amazing how much better throttle response it has. The only thing I don't really care for is when its as higher RPM it really looses the deep sound. Other than that, its a great product. I doubt my first tank of gas will be to good, I have been playing allot."

"The installation took a little longer and was more involved then what I expected. The kit increased the whistle of the turbo to a level where I am thinking about taking it out and using the stock air kit. For the amount of hastle of the istallation, the increase in the noise and the un-noticeable increase in power or efficiency I would not install this again on my truck.
NOT IMPRESSED!
Which surprised me because I had a K&N kit on my 2005 GMC Z71 and I loved it."

"Everything went together well, but there was no hard plastic tube that I think would improve air flow. The kit I received for a '96 Mustang GT is simply a metal part that bolts to the exiting air intake tube along with the new filter, not a lot for the price."

Hard to assemble, but good. . .

"First of all, I do recommend this unit, and I had no trouble installing it.
I have a 2007 Z06 and it took me about 1.5hr to install this. I have limited experience with mechanics, but would guess that this is not much more difficult than changing the oil on most vehicles. The unit seems to function as advertised. My car actually seemed to get a little better gas mileage and run a little smoother after installation. It does not generate any significant "intake noise" like some people want to hear, but they did include a dyno sheet on a 2006 Z06 that showed a 27hp boost at 5600 rpm with this installed under their test conditions (no mention of tourque). My only complaint is that the instructions could have been slightly better organized.
In that regard, I'll begin by suggesting that anyone who purchases this kit should really piece together as much of the unit on a flat surface as possible before installing it into the car. Several of the pieces are extremely hard to put together under the best circumstances and would be impossible to do under the hood. This means that you're better off assembling the whole unit outside of the car and slip it under the hood as the very last step before reconnecting the sensor.
The following is for people who have just purchased the unit. First, be aware that it's not practcally possible to disconnect the mass air flow sensor connector from the stock intake while the stock intake is in place. There is a solid metal tube (part of the power steering system) that passes within a 1/2 inch of the plug and prevents you from working in this area. I found that it was easier to take the hose clamp off of the intake and flip the stock intake on its backside and attack the plug from below. There is a gray clip that mus first be removed, and then the black plug has a button on it that allows it to be disconnected from the stock intake. On the instructions, essentially swap the order of steps 3-5.
Second, make sure you wait until later to put in the mass airflow sensor (ste"

"The installation was relatively easy and took about an hour to complete in my 2007 V6 Mustang. This intake did not give me the noise I was looking for, but performance and gas mileage are noticable. I am now getting an extra mile-2 miles per gallon even with a heavy foot. Great kit for the money!"

"I RECENTLY BOUGHT AN 07 DODGE RAM 4X4 WITH A HIMI IN IT. THE FIRST THING I DID WAS CHANGE THE EXHUAST IN IT TO FLOWMASTERS. GREAT SOUND I COULD TELL THE DIFFERENCE,BUT IT STILL FELT LIKE IT WAS HOLDING BACK. SO I BOUGHT THE K&N 63 SERIES (WOW)NOT ONLY COULD YOU REALLY FEEL THE POWER IT UNLEACHED, BUT THE SOUND WAS WAS LIKE A ROAR WHEN YOU GOT ON IT. GREAT ITEM GUYS FOR YOUR HIMI AND COST EFFECTIVE TOO. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FROM ME. REY FROM TEXAS"

"I just recently put the K&N 63 on my 07 F-150 and can really feel the difference in the smoothness of Idle as well as acceleration. Once over about 3000 RPMs you can really hear and feel the difference. I took it out after we installed and my brother in law could hear me down the road saying it sounds like we put an exhaust on the thing. It takes about 1 1/2 hrs to install."

"The installation wasn't bad, I did have to enlarge the air intake hole for the o2 sensor. I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber with a 1.8 engine, the performance gains are great (trust me well needed), but the noise level increase while accelerating was also pretty big.Once you get up to speed and out of the throttle, its nice and quiet. Thanks for the great service."
