"The only thing is I hear a sound of vacuum or whisteling sound. Im not sure if theres a leak from a hose or a clamp isnt tight enough. I will have a mechanic check it on Tue. or Wed. Do you have any suggestions? Other than that I am happy. I hope this isnt a normal sound and just needs something adjusted. In the meantime what do you recommend."

gas mileage

"i bought because of $$$ gas. it sounds terriffic and on the first gas tank i averaged 22.2 mpg. this is on a 2007 1/2 ton dodge w/5.7 hemi. i am really pleased w/sound, but it is difficult to keep from stomping on it."

"i have 06 impala ss . the 0-60 time was 5.7 second and no is 5.1 i useed the cold air kit in combo with a jet mass airflow system and now i blow the doors off mustang cobra r'sim am extremly happy with the kit and i HIGHLY recomend it"

"Improved throttle response was improved as was mileage and an increase in power was easily felt. The K&N system is easily heard while on the throttle but it is well worth the benefits."

"Well after a week or so, my mind has changed a little on how I feel about it. Originally I was going to rip it out imediately, because this thing was rediculously loud. I guess the air sensor settled in, and it got a little quieter. In the end I figured out why it was so loud. The CAI faces the firewall, kinda like a cheerleaders megaphone, so don't expect it to be quiet. When you drive it under normal conditions you'll find it to be OK, it's when you are under load that it may shock you. If you like it that way, I say go for it!!!!"

"The K&N 63 Series made a big difference on the car. My car is much louder and i am getting alot more horsepower... I recntly reset my MPG on my car and i recieved 17 MPG on a roadtrip i took. It was awesome"

"The kit installed easily and cleanly in about an hour. Dyno chart from K&N reports 9.5 HP increase for Toyota 4.7 V8, and benefits for mileage as well. Haven't had it on there for a full tank yet, so I can't analyze mileage, but the truck is definitely more responsive. Gives much more growl / howl to the Flowmaster, especially under hard throttle and at high revs. Looks great under the hood as well! Very pleased with the purchase."

"There is certainly More umph right off the bat. and the higher rpm's produce more power. The installation was easy with only one hiccup....the Throttle body is VERY hard to get to...its a little easier to reach if you loosen the radiator hose from the frame. The Noise is the only downside to this product. upon accelerating there is a whining noise. when the throttle is in full open in gear...it sounds like a coffee grinder... I did however notice about a 1/2 mile per gallon increase in fuel consumption...which is nice."

"installed kit on my 2006 F250 4X4-35" tires 373 gears which was a simple project in about an hour. Was getting 9.1mpg before and am now getting 12.6mpg city Sounds real throaty when I stomp on it but not overly loud. Better throttle response. Was looking for mpg and got it!!!"

"The K&N intake on the Jeep Wrangler is great. I saw increased throttle response, more horsepower, and instant torque. I also like the sound it makes. You can hear it literally sucking in air when you get on the throttle. Overall 5 stars!"

2007 F150 4X4

"I installed the K&N in about 2 hours. I also installed a Corsa Touring exhaust. My gas mileage has improved approximately 4 miles to the gallon. The truck has much more horsepower and it sounds awesome. It is even smoother and feels less "heavy" when accelerating from a dead stop. Also, the sound in the cabin at cruising speeds is as quiet as can be; the truck now has a smooth throaty sound when accelerating. The combination of the intake and exhaust is incredible and I would recommend/advise anyone with the 5.4 V8 to install these things on your truck. You will make your money back the next 15K miles you drive."
