K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow Intake Kit
Posted on 03/07/2007 by Richard V. - 2006 Ford F250 (Gloucester,VA)

"Installed on '06 F250 5.4 liter. Kit missing throttlebody adapter upon receipt. While on the phone Autoanything rep, she contacted K&N for missing part. K&N rep shipped the part next day. Install was flawless. Noticeable increase in throttle response. Much deeper engine note on acceleration. Slight "whistle" noted on light acceleration. Extremely satisfied overall, and greatly appreciate effort provided by Autoanything rep with resolving missing part problem. Well done. Will buy from again, and would heartily recommend to others."

"2005 Dodge Ram 2500 CTD
Product Installs in about 30-45 minutes with common hand tools. Simple to install if you have decent mechanical skills. Sounds great turbo really screams now. Increased fuel milage by about 4 mpg on the freeway and about 2 in town, insane power increase with my aftermarket exhuast that was already in place."

"The unit was installed in about 1 1/2 hours, but I wasnt rushing at all. Some of the instructions at first were a bit confusing but after taking a second look at them, the installation process was pretty straight forward. The kit is well designed and thought out. I only had to do one modification, drilling a small hole for a self tapping screw that the instructions said may need to be done, but the screw they said they had included in the kit was not there.
It was a small problem easily fixed by a trip to my tool box. Overall the truck breaths a lot better and it equalizes the input/output pressure since I installed a 60 series flowmaster exhaust as well. No more "popping" on deceleration. I would buy this product again."

"The instalation instructions were clear and concise, Everything lined up like it should. Felt immediate power increase, I have not had a chance to check the fuel economy yet but It seems to be better. This was worth every cent. I also installed a Magnaflow Cat-back from stylin-concepts that was a breeze to put in and both parts together makes the Tundra sound Awsome, not obnoxious but solid!"

"Directions were great and easy to install. Just be careful on fords not to break the clips for sensors. I don't have a long history with this product yet, but on thr first tank of mostly towing a 2000lb boat trailer combo, I got 15.51 mpg and the truck seemed more responsive.
I had hope to get a little cooler sound when I step on the gas, and may have gotten a little more than I wanted. It is loud! Some others that I know like the sound but it may be a little extreme for me. Not that it would kepp me from doing again, which I definitely would.
M.P."

"Not all the parts came with the kit. Missing two strips of the padding that go on the guard, and my truck did not have the fuel something and they did not give a plug to the insert. other than that i love it. I still need the two pieces of Padding to go on the gaurd."

"This intake was purchased for a 2007 F150 with the 5.4 liter engine. Installation was easy enough with the included instructions. Instructions for the specific model year would have helped. Too early yet to determine if there were any performance or gas mileage gains. Great sound at wot."

"The only reason that this product received 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the instructions not covering all steps neccesary and the fact that when the vehicle is first started it sounds like a large vaccum cleaner is under the hood. Other than that the throttle response and deep bass that it has added to the vehicle is outstanding. I have noticed a 2-3 mile increase per gallon. I am planning on purchasing a Jet chip and Magnaflow exhaust to see if I can't release more trapped power in my 4.7l engine."

Good sound good performance, would buy it again. Has a new growl when accellerating, but not much different than stock going at steady speed.

"i have had k&n filter chargers before on my trucks. this being the first time i have gotten one for an suv and also having it be the new 63 series instead of the older fipk series i am used to.....well i was pretty impressed. i couldn't believe the pick up....very noticable! i can't say yet what the gas mileage will be with it, as i live in western n. y. where we are in the midst of a cold front and a very heavy snow fall for the past few weeks, which came on a day or two after i got the aircharger....so i will have to wait for better weather to get a better feel for improved mileage. if it is anything like the old series that i had, i would imagine i will be pleased with the gas mileage. the older versions i had before always gave me better gas mileage and performance....needless to say i am very pleased with the purchase and also the speed at which auto anything sent it to me. i bought it on a thurs and it arrived to me in western n y the very next day.....thank you auto anything! i will definitely buy from you again."
