Description

Before K&N's latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a 63 Series AirCharger. It's what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out of the famous K&N factory.

K&N starts every 63 Series Intake with the largest possible Filtercharger cloth filter that will fit your vehicle. Massive airflow runs through this washable, reusable filter for the biggest power gains. Couple that with K&N's crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant.

Best yet, adding this raw power takes less than 90 minutes and requires no drilling or modification. Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit make this DIY project a breeze. Plus, K&N includes a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty with your 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit. So, why wait? Place your order for raw 63 Series power now.

"Installation instructions were easy to follow. I liked all the pictures. Only real down side is that I had to buy four bolts at a local hardware store that were missing from the kit. The kit sounds awesome and I am getting an extra 2-3.5 mpg. Well worth the cost."

"Installation was straight forward, with the only trouble being caused by Ford's placement of a clamp. My truck seems to have a little more oooomph down low and all the way through the rev range. There is no noticable noise until 3/4 to full throttle. I look forward to not buying more air filters and hopefully a little boost in economy."

K&M Intake for an '06 Chevy Colorado

Posted on 11/29/2006 by Andrew B. - 2006 Chevy Colorado (Rock Hill,SC)

"First of all I was VERY impressed with shipping. I ordered the intake on the morning of November 14th. I am not lying when I say that it was delivered to my house on November 15th. I did not pay anything extra for shipping, that was just the standard free shipping that was included. A+ on Shipping. I am not too familiar with whats under the hood of my truck or any other auto for that matter but I wanted to put the intake on myself. It was very easy and took me about 2 hours just because I was very careful and kept checking myself. It was very easy. I have only been through one take of gas so far but the MPG already went from 22 to 23. I got 400 miles out of my first full tank for the first time. I can tell the increase in power is there. I love the intake and would recommend it to anyone. Everything is perfect. Shipping was excellent. Thank you AutoAnything!"

Intake worth every penny!

Posted on 11/20/2006 by Rodney V. - 2003 BMW 330i (Bronx,NY)

"I received the kit a few weeks ago but haven't had the time to install. Today I installed the kit and test drove the car. What a blast!! The sound alone will put a smile on any enthusiasts face. The instructions were clear concise and very easy to follow. All parts were accounted for and seem to be made of quality components. The install time was just under two hours taking my time. On the test drive I noticed the hissing sound that I expected when throttle is applied. I was suprised however at the sound achieved when accelerating past 3500 RPM. A very deep rumble coupled with a crisper throttle response. This car pulls very well normally but the boost from the K&N intake kit is noticeable. The dyno sheet received with this kit states an 11.46 horsepower gain with torque increases along the whole driving band. I tend to believe it from the feedback the car gave back. I cannot comment on gas mileage because I haven't driven it enough. Two thumbs way up!!!"

undecided

Posted on 11/20/2006 by Daniel F. - 2006 GMC Sierra (Norris,TN)

"I installed the new intake kit on my 6.0 GMC. I have not taken any long trips yet so I am undecided if I will save on gas mileage. Other reports say that I will. I can certainly feel the difference in horse power. Previously I was getting 14.7 MPG around town and now about 13.5. Maybe it's because I am playing with newly found horse power. The only thing that I can't understand is the design of the new bulkhead that blocks engine heat and holds the filter, tube and housing in place. The bulkhead came with a rubber gasket that I thought would seal the intake filter from the engine compartment giving me a true cold air intake. The gasket only touches the hood and part of the finder well. The lower area is wide open to pull heat from the exhause manafold and radiator. I am trying to decide if I should add to the bulkhead so I get cold air like the original system got from the opening in the fender. The instillation was as simple as the reports say it is, less than an hour."

Great investment, pain to install yourself!

Posted on 11/16/2006 by Jason H. - 2006 Ford F250 (Jackson,WY)

"This product improved my throttle response and gave me a couple of more miles to the gallon on my ford powerstroke, well worth the money, but the down side the installation instructions were horrible, you pretty much have to be mechanically minded to install yourself! Jason, Wyoming."

K&N For My Canyon

"I am very pleased with my K&N and it was easy to install, but an adapter was missing for the fuel vent and I had to go to the hardware store to pick one up. A previous review I read had the same issue, so perform an inventory before you start the process as this seems to be a recurring problem."

"I install it on my 2006 F-150 5.4, it took me about an 1 1/2 hours to install, very good instructions and it looks great on the truck. When I took it for a test drive I couldn't believe how great it sounds, the motor really breaths. The performance is much better, you can tell the difference from a dead stop, and you can really feel the difference when you need to pass someone. Not sure on fuel mileage yet. Combined with flowmaster catbacks I already have on the truck it is AWESOME! Now all I need is a superchips programmer and I'll be set."

Lefty's GT Aircharger Install

Posted on 11/09/2006 by David W. - 2005 Ford Mustang (Tucson,AZ)

"The installation of the kit went very smoothly. the only exception was the mass air sensor opening in the intake tube was too small and had to be filed out for the air sensor to fit in. The increase in HP is clearly noticeable especailly at higher rpm's. The slightly louder sound of the engine is nice. Good job K&N on this kit!"
