"A positive review is what this product deserves. However, I was a bit dissapointed that the product did not come with the Heat Shield that was shown in the spiffy picture. I had it installed in less then a half hours time. Sounds great. Looks really nice. The feel is definately noticable. With gas prices at such highs... it's again worth the purchase."

"I own a 91 K-5 Blazer with a 350 ci TBI motor, the truck has a much better throttle response, the engine sounds better and its brought the fuel mileage up from 16mpg to 18mpg!!!"

"I installed mine and it is great. On my particular aplication it is worth 18.5 horse power. The great thing about this mod is you gain power throughout the powerband. Significant difference low end torque and hp for how cheep and simple it was to install."

New K&N filrer for 2004-2005 Ranger & B4000 4.0

"I have used K&N filters for 12 years now. I was still suprised by this new filter charger. Installation was fairly easy, only 1 step was left out of the detailed instructions. (it says to install a bracket to the filter plate, but doesn't say where to attach it on the truck) It has quality materials and a good solid fit. The performance increase was instantly noticed, I got sideways getting on an interstate entrance ramp with out popping the clutch. Fuel mileage seems to be better, although I have trouble keeping my foot off of the firewall. There is a bit more noise under the hood, which sounds like a vacume leak on an old Ford 390 V-8, but you know what the sound is and it isn't too loud. I feel like I got my money's worth and recomend this product to my friends and family."

"Almost feels like a turbo boost at 3500 rpm's in my 2004 F-150 3V 5.4L V8. I towed my boat and didnt need to turn off O/D as my rpm's never kicked up. Obvious power increase and it sounds awesome at WOT (wide open throttle)!"

"Wow!, after my K&N 63 Series Air charger was installed I couldn't believe the increased power and torque I experienced. Installation cost only $95 at my 350Z specialist mechanic! I'm really glad I bought this item. I expect to see better gas mileage as well but haven't had the time to test it out for any distance."

Not worth the $$$

"There are tricky advertising claims about this kit. I bought this item because the advertising claims said "up to 10-15 HP increase". The key words are UP TO. While this thing may produce these gains on some vehicles, it certainly didn't on mine. The dyno paperwork that came with the kit showed a maximum HP increase at around 5,000 RPMs and it was a whopping 8 HP! Oh boy! How often do you drive at 5,000 RPMs? The HP increase in the RPM range that I normally drive in (1,500-2,500) was around 4 HP. The stock motor in my F150 puts out 231 HP, so do you think I noticed a 4 HP increase? No. This kit may be useful for some vehicles, but it is a waste of money for the new body style F150."

"The product is of good quality, but the 10 hp is only at high rpms & does not provide any boost on the low end. Would I purchase it again? Yes...The sound is great."

"I was real pleased with the performance enhancement of the K&N Air Charger. I really noticed the difference in acceleration from a start and at freeway speeds. There is a little more noise coming from the engine, but it sounds good to me."
