"The additional horse power is very noticeable. This provides a nice throaty growl during accelerations. Have not had a chance to check on MPG improvement due to the love of hearing that growl."

"Overall I am very pleased with my recently installed cold air intake. I was very impressed with the substantial filter itself, but a bit disappointed that the intake body was of plastic. The instructions and photos were very good except in a few cases where my sons and I had to figure out things on own. The throttle response was significant and the sound was cool. The jury is still out regarding fuel economy as I have not yet refilled my tank, but the gage is reading 3/4 full and I have already driven over two hundred miles. This product is a definite for improving you car or truck's performance and I am certain I'll find an improvement in gas mileage."

"This is the second K&N kit that I have put on. Both have made quite a difference in the performance of each truck. You can definitly tell the power improvement but not as much on the gas, probably because I can't keep my foot off the floor. Would recommend this product to anyone with a hemi."

"This is the second K&N kit I've installed. The first was a FIPK II on a 2000 Durango with the 4.7 Magnum. I liked the increase in response and mileage, so I decided to throw one on my RAM. So far so good. This with the Gibson Stainless Dual Extreme cat-back exhaust really make this truck roar. Both together let me get around 18.5, or more, miles per gallon. Well worth the time/effort/money."

"This was pretty easy to install it took just over an hour and it sounds great on the truck. I do feel a big difference in power and speed, but I can not say that it help the MPG. It made no difference it almost feels that I use more but I think it is because I floor it now as it hails butt."

2006 Ford F250 4wd

"I have installed this filter on a 5.4 gas engine. When driving at a normal city or highway speed the engine is quite. When full power is needed, it's like I've added a turbo to the engine. The power and turbo whine of the engine suprised me. I was a bit skeptical about all the reviews of power and mpg claims, but for the price I figured I would take a chance. Power wise I'm very satisfied for passing and towing my boat-4000lbs. I haven't refilled my fuel tank yet to check MPG's. One of reviews on truck like mine claimed he gained 4 mpg. That was my main reason for buying this filter and when I fill the tank I hope for a pleasant suprise. Install took about 2 hours, with all the right tools. I took my time to reduce the chance of damaging any of the parts taken off or new parts being put on engine, don't rush it. Great install instructions with your your site as a backup for clearer photos. No parts where missing as many reviews have claimed."

Not good with other performance parts

"I ordered the throttle body spacer at the same time I ordered the air intake system, the K&N air intake arrived first so I installed it. However, when my throttle body spacer arrived and I installed it, the K&N system would not fit between the intake and the firewall. What I did was take the factory intake without the filter, cut the end off the K&N near the K&N filter and cut the end off the factory intake hose and fit them together. I gave it one star for compatibility with other performance parts and no stars for the instructions they send. I could not see the pictures, nor could I understand the instructions. However, I would give it 4 stars for regular performance."

Matrix Cold Air Intake

"I put the K&N 69 Typhoon on my '05 Matrix w/auto transmission; and I did notice a difference. It has more mid range power then it did before. That is I live near the top of a 3 mile 8% grade with one turnout for passing. I used to grit my teeth passing slower traffic in the 25-45mph range, but now no problem even puts you in your seat a little. My wife mostly just noticed that it makes more noise, but she's used to it now. I haven't checked the mileage yet, but haven't notice a decrease."
