Description

Before K&N's latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a 63 Series AirCharger. It's what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out of the famous K&N factory.

K&N starts every 63 Series Intake with the largest possible Filtercharger cloth filter that will fit your vehicle. Massive airflow runs through this washable, reusable filter for the biggest power gains. Couple that with K&N's crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant.

Best yet, adding this raw power takes less than 90 minutes and requires no drilling or modification. Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit make this DIY project a breeze. Plus, K&N includes a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty with your 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit. So, why wait? Place your order for raw 63 Series power now.

"Great intake. K&N is always the way to go. Great performance increase in my 03' Tacoma V6. You can really notice the difference. Sounds awesome! REAL LOUD at high rpm's. The heatshield really helps deflect a lot of the heat coming off the block. I would recomend to anyone."

"The best part of dealing with AutoAnything was the quick delivery of the product to my doorstep. Ordered on a Sunday afternoon and UPS delivered by noon on that Thursday (normal delivery request) and it was free. And the install of the K&N AirFilter Intake Package was very user friendly and works with no problems. Thanks again for satisfying the Customer. I'll be back to order more in the near future."

Posted on 09/27/2007 by Joseph W. - 2001 Ford F150 (Winston Salem,NC)

"Easy to install with easy to read directions. I installed it in about 20 minutes and began driving. My gas mileage went from an average of 15.7mpg (city) to 17.5mpg (city) and 19.3mpg (highway) to 21.2mpg (highway). Both the before and after mileage was and has continued to be quite constant."

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"Haven't noticed long term mileage gains, but around 1 mpg gain, in town, over last two fills. The sound is louder (as stated in K&N box) and performance gains are noticeable. ASSEMBLY WANRING! Be careful when fastening the MAF sensor - you can easily crack the MAF sensor housing with the cap screws provided. Trial fit the unit before installing - I would not recommend following the instructions for subassembly (they make it harder than it has to be)- use your own judgement. Also, your engine may run slightly rich the first few miles, as any excess K&N air filter oil is comsumed - check your exhaust pipe and use a vacuum cleaner or a couple high RPM blasts to get the excess oil out & the engine running where it should be."

"Installation was very simple. I do think K & N should make it so that the buyer does not have to drill into the pipe because of year model changes. I can see a little difference in HP especially from 2 - 4,000 Rpm's. The sound it produces when you go to pass someone is a little loud for me, kinda sounds like a big block with 4 bbl Carb under the hood. If I drive right my Toy will do 19-21mpg, If not expect 16- 17mpg."

"The installation was easier than removing the stock inlet system. Throttle response is much crisper, acceleration better. When you floor the gas the engine sounds really healthy, although the engine also sounds as if its holding back. Can't hardly wait to install the Borla cat back system thats laying on my living room floor and do the computer with the Superchips Programmer. Will keep you updated."

Good to Go...

Posted on 09/26/2007 by Chad E. (Lakemoor,IL)

"I really like this setup. The chrome pipe looks good under the hood. The system works well, I don't have numbers, but I'm sure I have more power when I need it. Hit the pedal and you know there's something different, I like the sound. I haven't seen any MPG advantage, but I haven't seen it get any worse either. The install was simple too, took me about an hour and I wasn't rushing by any means."

Quality and performance as expected

Posted on 09/26/2007 by Dean B. - 2004 Chevy Tahoe (Lodi,CA)

"I've had K&N filters on several cars over the years and I've always been pleased. I bought this one to be used on our 2004 Chevy Tahoe LT. We use the Tahoe to tow our race car so it does get alot of use for long distances. I'm use to the noise under acceleration and it does look like we've had a slight increase in mileage. The install took about 1/2 hr with 3 tools. Well built, looks good. Check with the plastic intake series as well, you'll have a different HP gain through another RPM range. Very satisfied. Dean"

"I installed the “69 Series Typhoon” kit on my 2006 Honda Accord V6 in about 30 minutes. I did not even bother with the cold air pipe. I can definitely feel the increase in horsepower. I bought the intake because I was looking for a more aggressive growl during hard acceleration and it did not disappoint me. I also put a set of flowmasters on it. Which together has increased the horsepower from a stock 244 to about 264. I am a very conservative person. However, I can tell you that the 2006 stock Camry V6 and the TL cannot hang. The 69 Series Typhoon sounds good to this 50 year young man."

"i installed the 63 series on my 2006 yukon xl denali, i could not be happier, the power right of the line is incredible, i never thought i could get this much power out of my car, also it sounds great and makes my exausht louder, the mpg increase is about 2-3 which is great. I bought a 500 dollar programmer for my car and i get more power from the intake than i do from the chip, recommeded for everyone."
