Description

Before K&N's latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a 63 Series AirCharger. It's what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out of the famous K&N factory.

K&N starts every 63 Series Intake with the largest possible Filtercharger cloth filter that will fit your vehicle. Massive airflow runs through this washable, reusable filter for the biggest power gains. Couple that with K&N's crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant.

Best yet, adding this raw power takes less than 90 minutes and requires no drilling or modification. Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit make this DIY project a breeze. Plus, K&N includes a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty with your 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit. So, why wait? Place your order for raw 63 Series power now.

"Better throttle response at take-off from red lights as well as at speed.A good start to improving the over-all performance of my truck. The only negative thing I can report is that the box the intake kit came in is not big enough to put all of the unnecessary stuff it replaces."

"After 300 miles of normal driving with some towing I think the performance is noticable. However, I also added a CAT-BACK system to maximize the benefits. It would help if the pictures were bigger and the instructions a bit more detailed but overall not a hard replacement. K&N does assume you have the tools needed including allen wrenches. The hardest part is putting on the rubber molding used to seal the bottom of the air box."

"Positive - Well it does exactly what it's suppose to do, it supplies a high volume of air to the engine. Plus it sounds mean and looks great. I have FlowMaster duals running out and sometimes I can hear the intake over the duals so that's realy cool. Negitive - The type of polymer tubing used conducts heat to poorly. After coming home from work one day, driving 11 miles, I checked out the intake and it was as hot as touching the top of the engine, not good. And the inclosure for the filter doesn't seal it, it just acts as a deflector from the heat, so really this is not a cold air intake but it serves it's purpose."

"The sound that this intake makes when you get on the throttle is awesome! I also like how quiet it is at idle or normal driving, not even a hint at the power underneath. I haven't had it on long enough to notice an increase in gas mileage. I'll take K&N's word for it that it produces an extra 15 horsepower. Don't waste a HEMI without one!"

"Once I installed this air filter kit my throttle response improved immediately. Off the line reaction is better, but the biggest difference is when I am rolling down the road and want power now. The throttle response time is lowered and my power develops NOW! I am still trying to figure out if my gas mileage has improved, but just in the improved responsiveness of the truck, it was worth the money spent."

"Everything works well, looks a lot better than the old Air filter. Installation was easy except for one piece that didn't quite fit well. The piece that connected the air flow indicator to the air flow tube was small and you have to force it to fit. Everything else was great, better sound and horsepower."

"Overall installation was easy. The instructions were very detailed with pictures, but each step did not include the part number needed which would have been very helpful. Because of this, it took longer to flip back and forth between diagram picture and overall picture with each part number to determine which part number(s) to use for each step. (It would have been easier if each step included the specific part number). Only other 'complaint' is that in Step 18, it says to install the NPT fitting into the K&N tube. While the overall quality of this kit was great, this fitting is plastic and broke during installing. I needed to go to my local hardware store and purchased a brass fitting for $1.99 to complete the installation. I notice more low and mid-range power and the tach now moves much quicker than with stock air filter. I plan to put back stock intake to take some 1/4 mile runs at the track, reinstall the K&N aircharger and do more runs for a truer comparison of power increase. I believe there is more power, but the track results separate feelings from reality!"
