Description

Before K&N's latest intake designs become a certified member of their hallowed 57 Series FIPK line, they start as a 63 Series AirCharger. It's what makes the 63 Series Air Intakes some of the most potent and powerful high-flow devices to roll out of the famous K&N factory.

K&N starts every 63 Series Intake with the largest possible Filtercharger cloth filter that will fit your vehicle. Massive airflow runs through this washable, reusable filter for the biggest power gains. Couple that with K&N's crosslink nylon intake tube that runs cooler than a metal pipe, and the 63 Series AirCharger Kit stuffs pure pedal punch right into your power plant.

Best yet, adding this raw power takes less than 90 minutes and requires no drilling or modification. Detailed instructions and a complete hardware kit make this DIY project a breeze. Plus, K&N includes a 10-year/1,000,000-mile warranty with your 63 Series AirCharger Intake Kit. So, why wait? Place your order for raw 63 Series power now.

"Took longer than i thought to install it. Me & my dad have never done anything under the hood of a car before...and it took us an hour and a half to 2 hours. The instructions help but you might look for other guidance. I can really notice the sound when I hit it hard and it sounds fantastic! The power definitely picked up and the car drives totally differently (better). Hill climbing is better. I haven't had a chance to check out the MPG change. Throttle response slightly improved."

Had a fit issue with 2006 Mustang GT

Posted on 08/12/2007 by Mark F. (Lawrence,MA)

"The bracket that holds part of the intake to the engine was redesigned for 2007 model years. It hit a raditoer hose in my 2006. K&N had to find an older bracket to support my year. Took a week but they did get it right."

"The system installed in about 2 hours or less by following the instructions. Looks good and improved fuel economy by 1 or so MPG in city driving. Did not measure added HP, but "feels" more responsive."

K&N FIPK

Posted on 08/10/2007 by Scott B. (Saint Charles,IL)

"I've had it on for a few days, and I am so surprised at what it's done. Let me begin by saying, I didn't think I'd be able to tell the difference at all, but figured this is where I was going to start with my mods. My Z28's response is noticably better, and it actually is quite a bit louder than I expected. Totally worth it!"

Good Sound and More Power for the F150

Posted on 08/10/2007 by Hal L. B. (Houston,TX)

"I installed the kit myself in a couple hours, I'm no mechanic so the included instructions were pretty straight forward. It gives the engine a deeper rumble when you step on the gas and you can feel the boost in power when you stomp on it."

Posted on 08/10/2007 by Brian T. (Fpo,AE)

"Cold air intake, took about 10 days to arrive in the mail and took less then 1 hrs to put on. Sounds great once it hits 3500RPM+ and you feel the boost in power. I am loving it. Can't wait until I get back to the states to put in on my hemi I left back there."

It looks good...

Posted on 08/10/2007 by Robert E. - 2005 GMC Yukon XL Denali (Elgin,IL)

"I have had it for about a week and I can't notice any power increase, I can notice much more noise under the hood when I hit the gas. So if there are any MPG gains it would be due the fact you don't press the gas hard to keep the noise down. Easy install if you have any tools and can follow directions."

Air intake review

Posted on 08/10/2007 by Brian Q. (Lakota,ND)

"I just put the system on my F-250 last night so the jury is still out on performance but I felt instalation was fairly simple. The instructions were very good except it didn't tell you which hardware to use when it said,"....use provided hardware". It didn't tell you if it needed washers or locknots. Other than that I think it's a very good system."

K&N 63 Series For '07 HHR 2.4 Eng.

Posted on 08/09/2007 by James H. - 2007 Chevy HHR (Rochester,NY)

"This product does increase the performance of the 2.4 ecotec motor at around 3k rpm and up. It does add slightly more noise under hard acceleration, but not much more than the norm for the 2.4 motor. Installation instructions need improvement (better pictures) Anyone with average mechanical skills should be able to do the install without too much trouble."

Good Looks

Posted on 08/09/2007 by Michael R. (Kings Park,NY)

"The K&N was somewhat easy to install, it took in total about an hour. The new sound is sick as soon as the truck downshifts to climb a hill or pick up speed you can hear the K&N howl. This made a nice combination with my Flowmaster Exhaust. I'd reccomend it to anyone with a Chevy - GMC '00-06!"

Awsome sound!!!!!!!!

Posted on 08/09/2007 by Tuan D. (Morristown,NJ)

"Installation was very easy except for the heat shield. Putting on the rubber tubbing is the hardest part. I have a hard time putting on the rubber tubbing. If you want to do it right you got to take your time on the rubber tubbing. The directions and the pictures are easy to follow. Look great after installation. At iddle you're not going to hear any difference maybe even more quiet. On the road I can feel more power kicking in and it sound great."

2003 F150 4.6 supercrew. POOR fit. Read

Posted on 08/08/2007 by Andrew T. (Miami,FL)

"All the parts fit to the vehicle just fine. Everything connected easily and within reach. The only thing that is BAD with this setup is that the pipe going through the heat shield passes through it with at least a 1/2" gap on all sides! This leaves the filter to "float" in the air box. It doesn't mount to the head shield in any way. That and it leaves a big gap for the filter to pull in heat from the engine! I install things for a living so I know I'm not missing anything, and I read the (poor) directions clearly. I had to put duct tape around the hole where the pipe goes through to seal it up. UGLY. Its only a tad louder when I get on it but it does seem to breathe much better. Truck is much less hesitant to move. Not sure about gas mileage though."

Posted on 08/07/2007 by Jennifer W. (Clarksville,TN)

"I purchased the kit as a surprise for my husband who had mentioned it in passing. He is deployed at this time. I ordered with ease. The kit arrived prompltly. I helped install it with the guidance of a friend. It took a little over an hour. I've been driving the truck ever since. My husband is going to be shocked that I pulled this off. The instructions were step by step with photos that even I could understand. All I've ever done was change a car battery, so to get this kit in and flowing is pretty remarkable."

Great sound, slightly jumpier throttle

Posted on 08/07/2007 by Brian P. (Sterling,VA)

"Got the K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit for my 2005 Chrysler 300C. Install took about an hour. The intake only slightly increased power but seems to work best in lower RPM situations. Throttle response slightly improved. The best feature about this part so far is that it makes my Hemi sound like a real V8 with a throaty snarl under hard acceleration."

Good product

Posted on 08/07/2007 by Steven L. (Clemmons,NC)

"The install was easy and only took about 45 minutes to an hour. At first I thought it was a little loud at WOT but now I really like it. I haven't noticed any significant increase in power but I didn't expect it to begin with. Some say that you might see better gas mileage but I haven't noticed. My foot is always to the floor now."
