"THIS IS A GREAT KIT FOR SUMMER AND WINTER.ITS A COLD AIR FOR THE SUMMER AND YOU CAN CHANGE IT TO A SHORT RAM DURING THE WINTER TO KEEP WATER OUT. THE IS A GREAT PRODUCT EASY TO INSTALL AND I COULD HEAR THE DIFFRENCE WHEN I STARTED MY CAR. AND THE SOUND FROM THE MOTOR WHEN YOU W/T IS GREAT."

Toss-up between this and Whisper lid

"The FIPK didn't really add any extra horses to the Camaro but it gives it that low rumble I wanted. Once I add the new exhaust, these two items will work perfectly together. I wasn't sure about this intake versus the Whisper Lid with CAI mod but this worked out better. I'm still going to add the CAI just to get more air flow but I don't regret this purchase. Just would have liked to "feel" the extra air flow with this intake immediately like I did when I added one to my Supra."

"The kit was much easier to install than made out by K&N - it took probably 1/2 of the 90 minutes estimated by K&N. The product is well built, complete, solid so nothing squeaks - and easy to tighten so there are no leaks."

"I have never before even changed my car's oil but by following the detailed model-specific instructions I was able to install this air intake by myself in about an hour. The results are great, more pep off the line and better overall fuel economy! Highly recommended."

"I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8 V8 engine. It has been a week so far, and my truck runs better, it sounds better, the throttle response is awsome, it makes my truck quicker on the go! It has changed the way my truck shifts also, it seems a little faster. I haven't seen much change in the gas milage, but I know that it is coming, thanks, Jake "

"I had a Vortec on this vehicle first and changed it out to the K&N -- There is no comparision. The K&N blows the Vortec away. With the K&N I could and still can feel the increased horse power. It's K&N for me -- 100%"

"I must say since I have installed the K&N cold air intake, my truck gets more MPG's...Which helps alot these days!! Also the pick up is very noticable! Last it was very easy to install and took me all of 30 minutes total!"

Pricey Air Snorkel makes more noise, power

"Upon receiving my ground shipped (six bus. days to Northern NJ) cold air intake, I opened the rather large box to discover quite a few parts, pretty in pink air filter, and accompanying shiny chrome tube. After reviewing the provided instructions, I was able to accurately estimate the time needed (45 min.) to remove my stock intake, configure various mounting points, and finally install the frighteningly fragile aftermarket air filter using alarmingly substandard hose clamps. That being said, the additional grunt and engine growl (not to mention improved fuel economy) have lived up to my expectations as being well worth any minor hardships suffered in the quest for bolt-on exuberance. Thank You K+N."

"The K&N is just AWESOME! Had it installed with the Borla exhaust and now my Navigator has the sound and performance I've been looking for. Can't tell yet about the mileage claim but it seems like the gas needle is not dropping as fast! Geez - the engine sound under acceleration is just fantastic! The installer gave me this gem - the cost of installing (I recommend taking it to a shop unless you've got several hours to burn)is $75.00, driving it priceless."

"Fast shipping. Arrived and I couldn't wait to put it on. I started during lunch and had 10 minutes to spare. I did my initial road test and am really surprised I didn't get a speeding ticket. The sound is great and the throttle response is definitely noticeable. As far as gas mileage is concerned, I didn't notice any right off the bat because my foot stayed buried in the gas pedal. Once I regained my composure, reset my computer (disconnect the negative cable on batt.) and dropped in a bottle of injector cleaner, I averaged an extra 2-ish mpg. not overly impressive, but better than what I had before. Aesthetically, very nice. I recommend for anyone looking for a nice looking performance add on. Instructions were clear, but could definitely use more pictures. Now I can add a throttle body spacer and magna flow exhaust and i'll put my Jeep next to a 5.7L Hemi and see what happens. Hope this review helps."

"ARRIVED VERY FAST, INSTRUCTION PHOTOS DIFFICULT TO SEE, WAS MISSING 1 BRACKET, WHICH WAS SIMPLE TO MAKE. TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR TO INSTALL, THE HARDEST PART WAS FITTING THE SEAL TO THE COLD AIR SHIELD. LOOKS GREAT ON CAR, IF I INSTALLED ANOTHER, IT WOULD TAKE 1/2 THE TIME."
