    Description

Get your intake system running cool as can be with the AEM Cold Air Intake. Thanks to a custom design that locates the filter outside the engine compartment, AEM Cold Air Intakes rush cooler air straight into your sport compact like no other intake setup can.

The AEM Cold Air Intake starts with innovative AEM Dryflow filter technology, feeding faster, cooler air through the mandrel-bent aluminum intake pipe. That intake pipe is a stunner, too—most AEM Cold Air Intakes come with your choice of a Blue, Red, Gun Metal Gray or Polished finish.

Thanks to detailed instructions and AEM’s soft-mount hardware kit, installing the AEM Cold Air Intake is a breeze. All you need are standard tools and about an hour to start feeling the extra horsepower and torque. Best yet, AEM stands behind your AEM Cold Air Intake with a Lifetime Warranty. Order today, and have the coolest-running, coolest-looking sport compact on the block.

    Notes

Thanks to the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act: US Code – Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312, your vehicle’s factory warranty is protected by law when you add aftermarket parts.  Details

Great product, felt a little more torque up around 3500 rpm to 6000. Easy installation, only took about 1 hour 15 mins. Great Intake sound over 3500 rpm and quiet if your just crusin. Great product! Except the polished aluminum one is 20 bucks more, I should have sprung for it, would have looked better then gumetal grey.

If your serious about tuning your ride I highly recommend you purchase AEMs CAI.. Great sound, appearance and performance. I haven't had it installed long enough to tell if I'm getting better mpg, but there is a noticeable hp increase right from install, and I suspect an increase in mpg once I get a few tanks through. I did the install myself and it was not to bad. The hard part was removing the factory air box. Total install took about 3 hours(2.5 of that was removing factory air box).

It's always healthy for a vehicle (especially heavily modified ones) to be re-tuned when parts (especially any that have an impact on the air/fuel mixture). It's not necessarily required (remap your ecu), but you will see a more dramatic improvement in performance if you do so. So required? Depending on the vehicle- no. Beneficial? Yes.

Hey there. Your CAI does not require the use of a programmer; however, an engine trouble code could pop up under different circumstances depending on other modifications you’ve made to the truck. If you order for the correct year/make/model, you will not see a problem.

Hi, I have a 2007 Mazda 3 GT. I am considering installing the CAI. I would like to know if this system can be left on during winter (gets pretty cold up here, as low as -20 F, and quite slushy/salty) or is it recommended to reinstall the OEM stuff every winter?

You can certainly leave the product in place. Keep in mind that many of the components installed from the factory on your engine are already made of plastic, such as the intake manifold and valve cover.

Hi Tim, depending on your vehicle, these intakes are either C.A.R.B. exempt or pending exemption for 50-state street-legal use. AEM says that though newer model year vehicles may be in "pending" status, and earning exemption status takes time, it will be complete before your new vehicle's first smog check.
