Description

Get your intake system running cool as can be with the AEM Cold Air Intake. Thanks to a custom design that locates the filter outside the engine compartment, AEM Cold Air Intakes rush cooler air straight into your sport compact like no other intake setup can.

The AEM Cold Air Intake starts with innovative AEM Dryflow filter technology, feeding faster, cooler air through the mandrel-bent aluminum intake pipe. That intake pipe is a stunner, too—most AEM Cold Air Intakes come with your choice of a Blue, Red, Silver or Polished finish.

Thanks to detailed instructions and AEM’s soft-mount hardware kit, installing the AEM Cold Air Intake is a breeze. All you need are standard tools and about an hour to start feeling the extra horsepower and torque. Best yet, AEM stands behind your AEM Cold Air Intake with a Lifetime Warranty. Order today, and have the coolest-running, coolest-looking sport compact on the block.

Notes

  • Emissions-related parts for new model year vehicles may be in "pending" status for C.A.R.B. exemption. Earning exemption status takes time, but will be complete before your new vehicle's first smog check.

"The quality and appearance of the AEM Cold Air Intake System is outstanding. On my Miata, the installation took a little longer because the front bumper needs to be removed. If you take your time and follow the instructions provided, you should have no trouble with the installation."

"1st - I did noticed an increase in HP, the power seems to be more linear with the RPM. Before, can I could really feel the push when the RPM his 3500. The turbo is louder as the filter such in more air but, it is not bad. I like the sound. 2nd - Before installing the AEM filter I was getting 23.1 MPG. Now I get 24.6. 3rd - The installation could be better, but you can figure it out."

"A great and easy increase to 10-15 HP in as little as 1 hour. Due to my average mechanical skills though. A more mechanically-inclined person could install it in less time, I'm sure. Added a great look under the hood of my SRT-4 ACR."

"I chose the AEM because its basically the same as the MazdaSpeed intake. Fitting is not for the complete novice, the whole front bumper / nose assembly must be removed, but its straightforward if you follow the instructions and don't panic during the task. In all took me about 5 hours with a 30 mins stop for lunch. The quality of the AEM product is excellent and now I've tested it am very happy with the end result. The engine now revs much more easily to redline and you hear more of a growl under hard acceleration. I haven't yet checked fuel consumption but that wasn't my first priority anyway, extracting more power was the goal! I would definitely recommend, better quality than the K&N cold air intake I previously bought for my truck. Great customer service and best price as usual from Autos Anything."

"This is a great CAI for an EVO X The box stops hot air being drawn in so it doesn't throw up any Check engine lights when the Fan on the radiator starts."

"This is a fine product at a competitive price. Installation was easy and straight forward. The car is definitely peppier and there is a slight noise increase under the hood with hard acceleration. The cold air intake on my 2007 explorer V8 produces a lot more noise under the hood. Those looking for a louder car will probably be dissapointed. I was really just looking for a 1-3 mpg increase and think it will be there if I can lighten my lead foot! This is my 3rd cold air intake from Auto Anything!"

Turbocharger sound + 5 HP increase > CAI price

"I compared the cold air induction systems from K&N, Fujita, AEM, and GM Performance Parts before I chose the system from AEM. It's layout is virtually identical to the ones offered by GMPP and Fujita. I hadn't seriously considered the GMPP CAI because of it's $300+ price, and the K&N system didn't appeal to me because it's air filter is placed further back from the front bumper than the other systems (it seems the main difference between the K&N system and the other ones is the presence of the radiator cooler plate). The Fujita CAI was on back order for 1-2 months so I ordered the AEM one instead. It took me about 30 minutes to install it and it's well worth the cost and effort. At WOT, the air filter emits a "whoosh" sound, but at normal revs the cars sounds a little louder than stock (that's because all of the noise reduction OEM parts are removed)."
