"I was really pleased w/ the AEM Short Ram Intake. It took less than an hour to put on and it was really simple to do. I have less of a lag now when I stomp on the gas and the sound of my engine is just overall 'nastier'. I'm really happy w/ this mod. It's easy to do and I would recommend it as an easy way to enhance performance."

"I was impressed with the fast delivery of the system. It was very easy to install and looks very nice under the hood even with the rest of the engine completely stock (D16Y8). The product is very stable and fits nicely. I bought this short ram for the sole purpose of sound. Horsepower increase is barily noticable at best. The resonation of the engine inside this pipe is why you should buy this. My exhaust, equipped with a Apexi World Sport 2 catback, already sounds low and throaty. After installing the AEM short ram; now the front of the car sounds just as good, if not better than the back. When the gas pedal is pressed half to most of the way, the sound is no different. When the pedal is stomped on to the floor, the engine literally roars to life. Gas mileage will go down for the first few weeks or so, or until you decide you don't want to hear that sound every time you accelerate (which is hard). A cold air intake will give you more horsepower, and the same or different sound, but for $80, this short ram system cannot be beat. It is all that you will really need anyway. I strongly recommend this product."

"I purchased the AEM Intake for my 01 civic, and at first i was sceptacle about spending 130 bucks when i could buy an off brand for about 30, but after my experience, its so worth the money. This system helps out a lot and it doesnt make a lot of annoying noise like some systems do. Autoanything is a great place to shop and i will definately shop there again!"

"Should not install AEM short RAM without re-mapping the ECU. The air/fuel mixture runs very lean at low RPMs, which causes increased turbo lag over a longer RPM range. There is also a "gulping" shound when the accelerator is released or gears shifted. The two stars are for the gains that may be gained if the ECU is mapped."

"Well my friend Jon and I installed this in about 20 minutes. It really sounds great and increases horsepower at higher RPMs. The only thing I didn't like was that the steel breather hose didn't go into the intake all the way but that was fixed with a zip tie."

"this intake was a very wise investment for me. it makes my civic sound like its actually fast. i love the sucking noise it makes when i tap on the gass at low rpm, and the way it whistles like a turbo when im rollin down the freeway at 4k rpm. my car seemes to have a bit more power in the higher rpm range but compromises a little bit when i take off under 2k rpm, i like it tho, it will save my tires. but seems not only does my car sound better and feel faster it has better fuel economy. usually getting arround 24-25 they way i drive around town, with my new intake last tank i got 29mpg even tho i rev it up alot more and slam the gas. i only payed $80 for this for my civic ex and i wish i had goten it sooner."

"At first, installation was a real pain in the neck. the vacuum hose wouldn't fit over the existing nipple on the block, then the proper hose clamp was too small to fit around it! The instructions were slightly confusing due to the number of missed steps in the instructions. But after installation, it ran sweet! My 01 Civic purred like a tiger! Sounds very sick! Some noticeable increase in power in the upper registry of the tach, but not much. Well worth it just for the sound. (tunnels are a blast!)"

"Awesome product. Definitely worth the cost. For a college student ballin' on a budget, the short ram is definitely an excellent option for anyone looking into a 1st or 2nd mod for their car. Anyone looking into this product should maybe consider getting a high performance intake manifold to enhance the induction system even more. Excellent product. Highly reccomended brand!"

"The AEM short ram intake works as advertised and increased the horsepower and fuel mileage of my Focus. The product is made of quality material and installed with no problems. The instructions were simple to follow and were correct for my car. I have had the intake installed for about 3 weeks and have documented an increase in fuel milage of 3 miles to the gallon more than before installing the intake. I am well pleased."

"The kit is easy to install ,the provided vaccum hose was not long enough to replace the stock hose.I bought a longer vaccum hose and started to have idleing problems.I put on the the stock hose with an inline hose addapter and it worked just fine.You can hear the difference when you get above 2500rpms."

"I purchased and off brand from the ebay and it did not fit, this one was easy to install and I noticed a vast improvement in horsepower and fuel mileage immediatley. I have a 2002 Honda Civic SI Hatch Back and this was the least expensive way to add HP and it sounds sweet. I recommend it to anyone."

"I installed the AEM short ram a couple weeks ago & noticed an immediate power increase & an icrease in fuel mileage. Haven't been able to calculate the mileage increase yet, but I'm sure the AEM has helped. I'd buy it again!"

"I own a 2004 Acura TSX and purchased the AEM Short Ram Intake for it. The intake installed in under 30 minutes and the fit was perfect. The performance increases have been great, as advertised. I do recommend the following tips for installers:
* when removing the OEM air box, there is a wire harness that is attached and the zip tie will have to be cut (*be careful to not cut any wires, just the zip tie)
* when attaching the oil coupler to the air intake shaft a more secure clip may be needed to keep it in place
* please note that the air filter version is AEM's new dry flow technology (*make sure to order the correct filter cleaner)
**please note all of the above installation tips are for the 2004 Acura TSX version of the AEM Short Ram Air Intake System"

"I replaced my old cold air intake that I got as an e-bay "special" (don't ever buy one of these). Theres a small increase in horsepower, but don't expect it to turn your car into a power-house. It makes a real nice growl, and the color complements my body paint real well. Installation was very easy on my prelude, especially since I had all of the old stock intake parts taken out. Its not as hard as the instructions make it out to be. Sweet product, at a great deal. Definitely worth the money."
