"I got this intake for my 2005 Mazda 6s. It was a really easy install, and only took about 45 minutes. The effects were immediately noticed. It sounds great, and has also added more gas milege. I have noticed a slight increase in performance too, as my car is a tiny bit quicker off the line."

"Myself and a friend installed the short ram on my 2001 Eclipse 6 cyl. We followed the instructions and they were right on the money. It took us longer to pull off the factory parts. Total time for the install was 35 minutes. After driving for a couple of days I noticed that the power band had increased and my gas mileage went up about 1.5 mpg. I am very satisfied. Bonus: my car sounds better also."

a strange whistle noise

"when i push gas petal in a 1/2 in. or so I hear a strange whistle noise i don't know way it makes thats noise? I think it might be the air censer but I don't know I hope someone could tell me what it is and how to fix it but other then that its a great intake system Thanks"

"Not much power gain noticed but it looks good and sounds good. When my RSX type-s hits V-tec it is a little loud so if you don't want it too loud, a short ram is not for you."

Good power!

"So far I love the intake. I can definitely feel more power from the engine. The only problems during the install were getting the rubber gromit into the hole in the pipe for the air temp sensor, we also needed to get a couple extra small clamps from the store for the bypass hose. Other than that, if your car is lowered, be careful to check how much rubbing is occurring between the filter and the steering control arms. On my 05 RSX, it actually rubs against it occasionally, but I'm gonna adjust the positioning so this doesn't happen."

"This was the first part I put on my S14. The instructions were pretty easy to follow, and all the parts (even clamps), are all high quality. You do have to cut one breather hose to install. I was a little concerned becuase you have to bend the hose even after cutting. It sounds great at WOT, although now I'm more prone to rev."

"Got it within 4 days after ordering it and was surprised!!! I wasn't expecting such a great addition to my car!! The throttle response was a bit quicker along with a feel of more power. On top of performance it sounds cool as the sucking of air is easily heard from inside and the engine roar is significantly louder especially in the vtec range!! The blue AEM short ram intake looks and performs great on my red 2000 Acura Integra GS-R"

Seems To Improve Performance and Gas Mileage

"The instructions are pretty horrible for this product so take you time installing it. Hoses don't come with it, so I would buy some replacement hoses along with the SRI. There seems to be more power at the high end and gas mileage might be slightly improved. I made some better instructions with photos on my blog. http://99civic.blogspot.com"
