"It took me about 1.5 hours to install. And it looks great, but looks aren't everything... So, when I started my 2005 Mustang 4.0 up and took it for a drive I notice a huge difference. I was impressed! Not only did the performance increase but so has my gas mileage. This S&B Cold Air Intake Kit was just what I needed..."

"I installed the S&B cold air intake along with the AirRaid throttle body spacer. The change in sound under acceleration is noticable and welcome, yet is not dramatic. It basically sounds like the engine is breathing easier at all rpm ranges - and I'm pretty sure it is. There is a marked improvement in acceleration from a dead stop, and the shifts (I have an auto)seem smoother and more efficient. In short, it seems that my engine approves of these additions and so do I. My V6 mustang has a fuel mileage monitor. Immediately after installing the cold air intake I was getting 1-2 mpg more at 60 mph. Overall I'm pleased with the results. A Mustang V6 already performs well right out of the box. My goal with these parts was to tweak the performance and fuel economy at the most reasonable cost. I also didn't want to do anything that would require reflashing the computer or the use of higer octane fuel - especially with fuel prices on the rise. I accomplished exactly what I intended. Nice stuff."

"Overall I like the CAI from S&B. When I ordered it though I thought I was getting a dry filter, which it is not and would prefer to not F-up my MAF, so I will find a dry filter for it. The install was easy but I don't like the way the intake tube feeds through the air filter box/shield. Seems kind of cheap and it moves around a little. At the same time though I can see it causing problems if it is not set up that way since the motor moves around and the box bolts onto the factory locations. So it is really a toss up and it does look like the design was thought through before it was produces. I also like that it is plastic and not metal to keep AIT temps down. Overall it is a good product and I noticed a slight increase in fuel economy."

"Item was packed very well for shipping ,Sadly my kit was missing an item but a quick call to S&B and the missing item sent to me overnight at no charge . install was strait forward instructions where great with color pics and a break down of what parts are given ( so you know what your are missing if you are) and what tools you will need for the install. quality on the item is great and you can tell its not some cheap item that will only last a week or a month . I rate this item far better than others at a higher price and the filter is way better than the more know brands . p:go to there web site for some filter cleaning tips ."

"Overall I am very satisfied with the intake kit as far as quality and appearance. I was extremely satisfied with the price of the unit, plus the extra added bonus of free shipping. One thing I did find during the installation was that the air snorkel if installed as directed would be positioned partially behind right side of the radiator. I improvised by cocking it and tightened it up that way. Not an exact fit."

"I installed the kit on a 2006 Sierra crew cab 4X4. I can really tell the feel the difference, and I’m getting just over a mile per gallon better economy, when I can keep my foot out of it. The opening in the front of the air box right behind the headlight is my only concern. I have a diverter in place to keep the water out during wet weather."

"Took some patience to align and properly connect the parts. Once in place, looks great, and performs well. One misgiving -- can't help but wonder how well this filter works on FINE dust -- the advertisement quotes its performance on COARSE dust. Obviously much less filter area than the O.E.M. filter I removed. great service from AutoAnything."

"I have a 02 7.3 Powerstroke. Its a 4x4 4dr longbed with about 2200 lbs in hydraulic hammers. Its a great add on with a chipped truck. You'll get alot more whistle with the s&b compared to the afe stage 2. I'll give it 5 stars."

S&B Intake 7.3

"I am not very happy with the fit and finish of the box and tube. There is about a 1/4 inch gap around one side of the tube where it goes through the box. The S&B tube to the turbo rubs against the intercooler tube. The filter is jammed up against the inside of the box as well on one side. The clear plastic lid is not cut straight and just covers the top of the box, less than a 16th of an inch at the bottom left."

"GMC 2500hd Crew Cab w/6.6LLY Duramax and 8in lift.I was very pleased with the my cold air intake. the instructions could have been a little better explained but other than that i'm happy with it. took bout 30min to install n gained maybe 1mpg but makes my 4in exhaust really below a deeper tone and can hear the turbo alot better."
