"I wound up purchasing the Cold Air intake because many auto enthusiasts confirmed I might get better gas mileage, and a bit more horsepower on my 2008 Chevy Avalanche. The factory intake was much larger than the SB, and it seemed like air had to "whirl around" a much more involved "inter winding" chamber than the direct air SB system. Installation was pretty easy and straight forward, simply followed the directions, took me an hour to install. You can hear the difference, but I'm also told if your looking for better gas mileage, don't overcompensate with a "lead foot". The only "gripe" I have is these systems are WAY over priced for some plastic, clamps, and a nice filter. Should be half the price!!"

"The overall product is great. It looks fine, and has a more direct flow of air into the engine. I was excited to install it, and quickly removed my stock intake. When I started installing the S&B intake I realized they forget to give me any hardware. I had to put my stock intake back in, and wait another week for the hardware. I tried to get two day air out of them, to no avail. They did supply me with a free cleaning kit, but what I really wanted was the intake in my truck! I would highly suggest looking over what you get first."

"The intake was relatively easy to install, took very little time. Seems to have increased gas mileage a little and definately sounds much better than stock. Overall so far a great intake for the money. Almost $100 less than comparible intakes."

"Nice product. Turbo spools much faster and whistle is more noticeable but to loud. Installation was about an hour. The two screws that hold the MAF sensor on the intake were too long and bottomed out before the sensor was tight. Material quality is very good and appearance is neat."

"Got this for my 2002 Dodge Ram. Installation was easy but removing the old system took some time. I am very pleased with this product. However the ad says that it comes with a plastic see thru cover but it was not true for this particular version I guess"

"Overall very happy with the product, not exactly what i was expecting. I thought I was getting an inclosed box, but for the price im not complaining. I have noticed some extra pep in throttle response and in lower in torque and ive noticed a little extra in my mpg. I will be ordering another for my dodge ram."

"The CAI is a nice product and the installation went well. My only concern is that there is a gap between the air intake on the side of the CAI housing and the air inlet from the side of the engine well. The installation instructions do not address this. So, it appears as if the CAI will gather air from the normal air intake passages as well as capture air from the engine compartment. Any thoughts?"

"I have used other brand intakes on my past cars/trucks, all the top brands. This is the first time I have tried S&B and I have to say I am very impressed. The install was 30 mins flat with no help and no problems at all. Everything fit perfect. The sound is not annoyingly loud at all and I have to say it performs better than the others I have used for the money. Bang for the buck this thing is #1 on my list. It could have bit better looks but I do like the clear plastic cover for the box with the S&B logo etched in."

"Very nice product. Well manufactured, good size, clear instructions. No dyno results, but seat of the pants feels stronger, especially on take-off. Turbo is noticeably louder, but nicely balanced to engine noise."

"Noticed slight gains in power and MPG right off the bat. To really set the S&B on fire though, get custom tunes with the Edge Evolution. Install was very easy and looks awesome under the hood."

"Incredible easy to install and directions were dead on. Only thing that wasn't easy was two screws included for the sensor were to long. Just added my own washers. Truck breathes great. I would buy more products from S&B."

"I installed a programmer at the same time i put the intake in. However i installed the programmer wrong and it was amazing how much horse that just the intake gave me. I thought it was the programmer."

2006 Titan Cold Air Intake

"I have been researching and shopping for a cold air intake for my 2006 Titan, for a little while. I have a few sites I check pricing on once in a while, and saw this S&B set up on AutoAnything. After a week or so, I bought it for just over $200 after seeing an email with a 25% discount. This is a high quality, bolt in kit. Took about an hour to install. It's not you're typical polished tube with a filter set up. It is all black (with a molded tube) and has a clear cover over the air filter box. It looks pretty sweet under the hood. The truck has a nice roar when you step on it a bit. Not sure if my gas mileage will increase, but I'm confident I've added some more torque and horsepower. I highly recommend this product and AutoAnything. They both offer highh quality product and service!"

"I own an 08 Ford f250 6.4L. I had the truck dyno'ed before and after the install. The truck gained 8 horsepower. It does sound better...throaty when opened up. The mpg gain was small. It is better than stock. However, If I were to do it over...I would spend the few extra bucks, and get one of the higher performance intakes."

"Fit and finish was a little off..had to do some minor modifications to get it to fit so the installation time was a little long. Has a good sound to it and I like the clear top and surround that protects it from getting hot air from the engine bay."
