"PRODUCT QUALITY: I ordered it online from Auto Anything for $204.00, delivered to my door,[after the online rebates I had accumulated from previous purchases]. Auto Anything was, once again, brilliant in their promise. This is not about them so I'll leave that there. The S&B arrived in a tightly packed large white box. The parts were neatly installed with plenty of packaging and padding to avoid miss use in transit and whatnot. There are also left over hose clamps but I assure you, you will not need them One look at the contents and I knew this was a well constructed system. Everything, and I mean everything from the hose clamps to the urethane duct to the screws and , were solid and very sturdy. The filter itself weight a bit and is very solidly constructed.
INSTALLATION: Let me start by saying that I have done several installations of this magnitude, and then some, in the past so I wasn’t too concerned but you never know with these things. After reading through the brilliant set of “real life” extremely detailed color instructions, I could have done this blindfolded and wearing a patch over one eye.... whilst half drunk. The whole system fits together like it is an OEM piece - like a glove! This is the system Ford would install if they knew better. There was no minor adjustment needed, no tweaking of any sorts, no fiddling around - nothing! I was amazed at how sturdy the whole system is upon completion as there’s no play, no rattle, no nothing.... the way a CAI system should be. From start to finish - including removal of the OEM system - it took me 38mins. This is by a landslide the easiest and best fitting CAI system I’ve installed... and it doesn’t look bad either. Kudos to the guys at S&B.
APPEARANCE: I'll make this quick and to the point. It looks like this is the system Ford should have used back at the plant. The perspex air box cover is very eye catching once the hood is popped. Nice clean appearance all-round.
PERFORMANCE: Wow! The minute I took it out of the garage for a drive, I kn"

"Well for starters , i liked the fact that i could order a part and get it in my hands pretty quickly. The problem i ran into was that my truck has a 4" body lift. The parts are made tough but the main tube did'nt line up. I had to modify the air box and add a 1" breather spacer to lift the tube. The system is on and working well , but it was not a direct fit. all things considered , the system looks and performs really good."

"Filter and box look great, Box doesn't match air inlet in fender though and kit was missing a fastener to hold down the clear lid. the thread pitch on the mounting hold down nuts was incorrect as well.. not the end of the world but says the QC is lax. the system does its job, flows way more air as the truck exhibits little smoke on full acceleration."

"Overall the S@B Cold Air Intake is a good product. The problem I had is that a few of the parts were missing such as the bolts that secure the box to the inner fender, also the gromet for the air temp sensor. The rubber conection from the Maf sensor to the box was the wrong size so I had to use the existing conection from the old box. I recomend that you check the parts before you start."

"I don't know the quality of the filter itself until I get the silicone levels of my oil analyzed. As for the quality and fit of the componets, not the best in my opinion. But it's less than half the price of the AFE I was going to buy, so....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR."

"This intake was great on my 06 Mustang V6. Great increase in power, seat of the pants feeling, and much much better throttle response. Only drawback is the installation is a pain! Instruction guide was incomplete on some parts of the installation, had to figure it out for myself after an hour. Overall, good intake for the new Mustang V6's."

"Item arrived on time, packed very well. I don't have a ton of previous experience with other intake kits - so I can only compare this to my 02 F350 7.3L stock setup. Installation instructions are clear, with color pictures on front/back of a single sheet. Step by step instructions are detailed except for re-mounting the air temp sensor in the box. I had to drill two mounting screw holes for the included screws (not shown in the instructions) for the sensor, but that was it... Total install time solo was just under two hours including removing the stock airbox. Instantly I noticed more low end power and a snappier feel through the entire throttle. I can now hear the turbo spin up and down much more than with the stock setup. (It's not disturbingly loud by any means) This intake mentioned an increase in mpg by approx 1mpg... however, I have noticed the opposite. It's hard to say if that's b/c I've got the pedal to the metal more often now due to the intake (which I do - it's much more fun to drive) or b/c the intake is causing an increased fuel consumption rate. Your results may vary. I recommend!"

"My gas milage didn't inprove. I'm not sure if the HP went up but it seems to run better.I have a superchip programmer so It will take some time to find the best spot for the truck to run. I don't think the instructions were very well put together. I was able to use must of my clamps and connecters to put the unit on. they worked much better that the ones that came with the set up. better seal"

"Excellent value for the money. Very nice quality cold air intake. Easy 1 hour install with hand tools. Only tool required out of the ordinary is the torx bit for the mass air flow sensor. Find the instructions for the GT install on the internet and check those before doing install on V6. Will make some things clearer. Now for the fun part. Much better throttle response above 3000 rpm car feels more lively. Somewhat noisier but not noticeably so. I would say it's an excellent value for the money. If you have to have a CAI and don't want to spend a fortune this is definetily the one to get. Prompt delivery by Autoanything. Ordered on a Sunday evening on the internet. Delivered by thursday."
