Description

True Flow first turned the industry upside-down with the foam-cell air filter—now they’ve turned it inside-out. The True Flow XDI (Xtreme Duty Intake) is the hottest intake system available, on or off the road.

True Flow’s revolutionary design filters from the inside out. Fresh air draws into the system’s hollow core and gets forced out through the filter. This creates maximum airflow, a beefy intake tone and the largest filtration surface possible.

The XDI scraps that restrictive factory air box for powder-coated aluminum tubing and nylon-reinforced silicone couplers. You get custom under-the-hood looks while your engine gets all the power-producing air it can handle. The kit also includes True Flow’s famous reusable foam-cell air filter.

The XDI not only bolsters performance by boosting horsepower and torque, it delivers all-out engine protection and increased fuel efficiency. And best of all, your True Flow XDI Air Intake is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

Notes

  • CARB approval is still pending for the True Flow XDI. Until certified, the XDI isn't cleared for street use in emissions-controlled states.
  • Some kits do not contain mandrel-bent tubing. If you do not find mandrel-bent tubing in your kit, your vehicle's intake design may not require it.

"Very good looking intake. Easy to install and great sound under the hood. I noticed more than 1 MPG with it on. I had to return it though because when I would get on the gas, something triggered the MAF sensor to light up fault lights for check engine and other warnings. I had to continually reset the sensor. Toyota dealership could not help me either. Tried to make it work but couldn’t. Too bad too because I really liked it."

"the only negative in installation was having to permanently remove the hood support rod, as the kits rubber anti vibration grommet caused clearance issues...also air tube goes directly over oil filler cap...no big deal...just need to purchase flexible oil funnel ...decent hp gains in mid to upper rpm's"

"Love the sound, not to loud or to quiet. Also it looks very beafy, and nice. Helped wiht gas milage by about 1.5 mpg. great responce also. One downfall is that the intake is made of metal and is very heavy. Gets hot quick but doesn't hurt the power you get."

"Very nice intake for the money. It really lets the turbo talk. Install wasn't too bad, the couplings really take some stretching to get on. Other than that I'm very pleased with it."

"I'd been looking for and intake for my 2008 f-150 so, I read up on the XDI and was inpressed by the numbers, they were higher than any of the other intakes I had read about. I purchased it and intalled it (which was say easy) and was ready to hit the road! I can see a differance in my top end around 3,000 rpms and up, and my fuel mileage has improved, not sure just how much yet, but has helped!"

"This intake not only looks good, it performs good. I have seen an improvment in fuel consumption and in overall performance. The only bad thing is that you really cannot here it, it does not have that big sound like alot of intakes have."
