This is a great piece of equipment to give a little boost without going over the top in tricking your vehicle out. Installation was very straight foward and not to complicated. A small socket set was all I needed just using 3 socket sizes plus a little extention. I lost the gasket myself and call customer support. Replaced no problem and mailed in a few days. Very happy with the product and autoanything.

Very easy to install (about 30min) Did improve the mileage (about 1 1/2 mpg). Im getting around 18.5 to 19.2mpg 60 to 80mph. Installed it on my 2012 F150 5.0 . It won't make the 5.0 run like a "big block". But it does make over-all mild improvements. The engine is also programed with a tuner. Id buy it again.

I installed the TBS on 8/27/12 with ease and immediately noticed a quicker response from foot to pedal and a slightly noticeable difference in acceleration. I haven't been on a road trip yet but am looking forward to seeing if my gas mileage improves, have noticed a slight improvement around town though. Haven't heard the whistle that most experience with TBS but perhaps it's b/c my engine is only a 4-cylinder. Overall it looks cool and complements my aFe dry flow filter & would recommend the TBS

Great product, shipped on schedule, and very easy installation! It only took me twenty minutes from start to finish but I have the Afe cold air intake as well. Sounds awesome and it boosted my throttle response, top end is very solid and just the right amount of whistle I am very glad I bought this tbc worth all the pennies!!

I have had it installed for just over a week now and I definitely can tell the improved throttle response. I haven't seen any improved MPG. As for horsepower, I have this installed with the aFe cold air intake and overall I feel more horsepower, but not sure which item really provided the additional horsepower. I purchased because I wanted more power for towing and better MPG. The better MPG is yet to be realized, but I would still recommend to others given the relatively low cost and increased horsepower.

I purchased the afe tbs...to compliment my AEM Cold air intake and it pretty much doing its Job! I've gained around 10hp and my throttle response is great...i feel the torque and when f I'm doing about 70mph and i hit the throttle my truck gets up and goes! I've always been a Fan of autoanything and would recommend this to anyone!

Can this throttle body spacer be used with an AFe cold air intake system on a 2012 Ford F350 with 6.2L gas motor? Catalog says "for use with factory intake." Would like to use both to get the most out of intake.

will this unit work with stock air intake on 2004 Ford f150
Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 27, 2012 11:32 AM
Your stock intake has quite a bit of flexibility and should work just fine with the throttle body spacer. If you are looking for maximum power and economy, I would recommend installing a cold air intake system, cat-back exhaust and a flash programmer instead of just the throttle body spacer. Your factory intake is pretty restrictive and its a good idea to replace it with a free flowing unit. Unfortunately, you won't be able to combine a throttle body spacer with a cold air intake system because the intake tubes tend to be rigid in construction and will be pushed away from the factory filter position.

Throttle body spacer I have a 04 chevy silverado with k&n air intake system carb exempt for California. 57 series I believe. I was wondering if I could put a throttle body spacer in now that I have the cold air system in place. Thanks again

The aftermarket intakes usual can take the throttle body spacer, but depending on which brand and version your looking to get will justify fitment or not. Our suggestion is contacting the manufacturer of the throttle spacer technical support line to verify fitment.

I have already installed a BBK throttle body and K&N cold air intake on my ride. I have a whole lote of whistling un der the hood right now. Will the spacer cut down on the noise and increase the power?
