"Excellent buy for the money. Got an extra 1mpg and nice power. The only problem is it has a high pitch whisle to it at diffent thottle positions. If you can handle the whisle It's worth it. Maybe need to try a new mass air flow sensor."

"It was very easy to install. I haven't driven very much but there seems to be a subtle increase in horsepower. I do love the growling sound it makes. I haven't noticed a change in MPG yet."

"I have a 2002 chev silverado 5.3L and installation was easy but I had to make some modifications because of a throttle body spacer I put on earlier.Great look under the hood and extra boost of HP and throttle response.I've owned Ingen and K&N intakes on previous truck and car and i can honestly say that Spectre is the best on the market for the price."

Excellent Product

"The cold air intake went in easy and looks great. The performance difference is definitely noticable and my gas mileage has improved. I do have one bad point. I noticed a knocking when I started the truck and traced it to the heat shield. I put a piece of rubber under the end and the problem was solved. Overall, I am extremely satisfied."

"This intake is well worth the money. The performance filter sucks in air like crazy. With the 2004 Duramax LB7 stock air box, you would never know that you had a turbo charger in the engine. With the added air flow, my turbo spools up the moment I step on the throttle. My only complaint is the rubber bolt/screw. It is a terrible design that simply does not work with the intake/heat shield set-up. My solution: buy a 2 1/2 inch screw, 2 small rubber shock ubsorbers, and a nut. Use this set-up in lieu of the rubber bolt and you'll save yourself heartache! Over all, a great air intake that is the same as the pricey competition!"

"I'm really satisfied with this product. It was easy to install, looks great, and at a great price. I notice a difference in power right away, but does not really save me gas, but that's not the reason I bought it for. I'm going to put in a throttle body spacer that should save me a little bit of gas. Overall great product for the money."

"The Spectre Cold Air Intake is a dang good bargain for your buck. Gives you what other products offer at less than half the price. Install instructions are not the best, so you will have to make a few assumptions. I found the air cleaner side of the tube should be at a greater angle for the air filter not to sit so closely to the battery but with some adjusting I got it working for my 7.3l Powerstroke."
