The S-10 "Air Intake Kit with Enclosed Air Box" is not an accurate description of the product. It is actually just an air box replacement for the stock OEM airbox that attaches to the stock air intake duct from Mass Air Flow Sensor to Throttlebody. The description below is flawed in that no "Volant Air Duct" is included except for a 3 1/2 inch sleeve of rubber/silicon that joints the Volant air box replacement to the Mass Air Flow sensor. "Volant Air Duct: Factory air inlet ducts use sound baffles and awkward bends which restrict flow. Our Cross-Link polyethylene air ducts are sculptured to give the engine less restrictive breathing. Incorporating larger diameters and unique bends, that can't be duplicated with metal ducts, allow for maximum airflow velocity and throttle response." While Auto Anything customer service was helpful the bottom line is that the advertisement is misleading and the higher than $200 price for just an airbox should make you do some additional research before purchasing this product.

I installed it in a 2003 Chevy S10 with a 4.3 engine. The directions don't tell you to remove a clip on the radiator wall after removing the stock air box but it is easy enough to figure it out. The hose clamps were barely long enough and I needed a larger one to fit over the mass air flow sensor. Overall it is an easy install and I does make a performance difference. After I installed a Helix throttle body spacer and that with the cold air intake made a huge difference in increased power. It was well worth it.

The Cold Air kit was really simple to install. Took about 15 min. Went right on with no problems, great fit. You can feel the change as soon as you step on the gas. Smooth effortless acceleration. My gas milage seems to be around 20 hwy and 17 city. Acceptable enough for a car that weighs 5387#.
