I recently installed a volant cold air intake into my 2002 Ford Ranger. The installation was simple enough, though the smaller tubing I received wasn't quite long enough so I needed an extension tube. Other than that it was simple. My truck has a mid-low deep sound accelerating from second to third gear, fourth and fifth gear kinda sound mid-high pitch sound and kind of whines. I really like second and third gear though because thats mainly what i drive around in anyways because of where I live.

I have a 2002 ranger 2.3l and can tell you that this kit has made my truck run alot smoother. Not much noticable tq gains except when you floor it. The only dislike that I have is that it did not come with the hose for the new intake pipe and the instuctions were pitifull. I basically installed it by looking at the picture online. Other than that its an overall good product.
