Item was totally different than what i expected. After 4 weeks of trying to get tech support, i had to continuously call them. If you promise that you would call back, then do it. What ever happen to customer satisfaction? Total dissatisfied with this purchase. After the 5th Week, I was finally able to get this item installed, will see how it works. More to come.

I purchased Volant CAI #191546 for my 2010 Ford F150 (5.4L). The several parts look and feel to be of very good quality. After installation, the engine bay is considerably less cluttered than with the OEM intake tube's 5 air chamber pods attached. The truck runs fine, with some improved throttle response. Too soon to tell about MPG effect. The lack of any instructions was disappointing, but there are some YouTube videos to watch that help. Instructions would cut install in half.

Really like the Volant CAI: Makes the engine growl and a very noticeable acceleration increase when I aggresively get into the throttle. Does drone more while towing around 3500 RPM, but it's not bothersome to me. Can't really notice improved mileage, but I've also been towing an 11000 lb travel trailer. I'm very pleased and it is exactly what I hoped wanted/expected.

Although the directions were incomplete, simply giving a chart with where things go, I installed it to the best of my ability and have had no issues as of yet. I immediately noticed a lot more pep out of my otherwise stock truck. After a tank of gas I have realized a 1 MPG gain from the system. There is a bit of a throaty sound when forcing the gas pedal to the floor, but definitely worth the money. With gas at $4/Gal this thing will pay for itself in no time!

There are 3 things I didn't like: 1- the cap to the fluid tank didn't snap on to it like factory. I had to place some tape around the cap to keep it from falling out. 2- there was a issue with the bracket that connects to the air box didn't really reach or line up right? 3- there was a small gap between the tube that u place the air sensor in and the main box. Placed a piece of rubber around it to fill it.

The Volant intake wasn't too difficult to install - you can avoid a coolant mess by thinking ahead as you replace the bottle. It opened up the throttle response on my truck. It sounds good, although it is oddly quiet or loud at certain RPMs. Overall, a good product. I like the concept of the PowerCore filter.

So not an excellent in Price/Value b/c nothing beats free. This product is great. Put it on a F150 XLT '10 and gas mileage improved by about 4 mpg. Everyone drives different and I try to max my mpg, but I was stoked at the change. Not really any sound difference, unless you gun it. But well worth it. I also got the filter that was good for 100,000.

Nice intake but they (volant) had made some changes to a bracket that was not indicated on the instructions so i had to call them. Also one of the phone #'s on the instruction sheet had been disconnected.

Looks good and sounds great you can hear the air flow and feel the added power this is the 3rd Volant intake I've installed on a truck and would not go anywhere else for a cold air intake system.
