My son purchased a unit for his Nissan Altima and took me for a ride. All I can say is "whoosh". The chat line was real helpful. I bought one for my FJ Cruiser. I installed it myself after my son said he would only be in the way. Itz a "one-man" job he said. I was disappointed he would not help me but he was right. The trick is to put some of it together before you really start installing the whole kit onto your engine. It was so easy if you follow the directions. The pictures could be a little bigger but it was simple. I took it out(the FJ after installation) and punched it!! The excitement is how it takes off with a roar. If you don't get one,YOU are missing out! I have a sense of pride knowing I did it myself. Thanks,Son!

Came will all mounting hardware, end result is a professional look in engine compartment. performance gains were immediate, a 50-100 RPM reduction at cruising speed. This is equating to about 1 mpg returned. I had lifted and added larger tires and this has helped to return the power to the engine to turn the larger mass at the end of axels.

Overall I guess I'm happy. Install was pretty good, took my time and made sure to step by step (not a mechanic and took me bout 1.5hrs) but I was kinda distracted while installing. Main gripe is that the K&N logo doesn't face you when you open the hood. So much was removed from my engine (plastic wise) during install, looks kinda bare.....and the chrome tube K&N logo isn't facing you. Doesn't hurt the functuality a bit though. Sounds kinda throaty when you step on it. Not sure of any fuel economy but haven't driven enough miles to know.......

After I installed the cold air intake which was easy, I immediatelly noticed a power increase. The engine howls when I step on the gas and passing other cars is an ease. I cane drive it easy and in normal traffic speed and get better gas mileage than stock setup, very satisfied. MIKE B

Added the k and n 77 on my 08 fj cruiser. Gained about 10 plus hp....its best when working in conjuction with a high performance cat back exhaust. The fit and finish is excellent. Instalation took 90 minutes. This cai is the best of the best.
