I added it to my shopping cart three times before I actually bought it. $270 for some sheet metal, filter and some tubing, seemed like to much. Finally I decided to buy it and really excited that I did. Easy to install, looks clean in the engine bay, and makes the sounds I was looking for. Still don't have exhaust on my 330CI so all I hear is the sound of the engine, which it not that pleasing to listen too. With the intake installed I don't mind driving with the music off. Worth the money.

Instant HP.

The part arrived quickly and in perfect shape. I read the instructions, gathered the tools and then installed in less than a half hour, the only problem I had is that my hands are quite large and reaching back in to attach hose clamps was a bit rough. All in a a perfect outcome.

The installation process was not as easy as i would have liked. No fault to K&n. It was just some parts that were hard to get into. The sound is great. It reminds me a little bit of the old vw VR6 sound in the 98 models. Noticing horsepower is a bit flaky with filters in my opinion and i don't really do a dyno more than once a year so i wont know. all in all, pleased with the product and general process of ordering from you guys.

The system was easy to install, took about 20 minutes. There is a noticable improvement in the throttle response from a start. The lag that is inherent in these cars has been eliminated. I am seeing about a 2mpg increase both highway and city. My car is equiped with the ZHP performance package which has the stainless exhaust so there is not a noticable change in exhaust note.

It makes the engine intake sounds louder. It makes hissing sound like a viper on your initial acceleration, then the hissing sound right away turns into a roar sound when your car starts to take off. For my car, 2003 BMW 330ci, it feels like the initial start time is not as responsive as the factory setup (at lower rpm), then once the car starts to take off it feels like the rpm climbs faster than original setup. Overall, I am satisfy with the result. However, the installation was a little too challenge for me and i had to pay a professional shop to have it installed for me. Hope my experience can somewhat help your decision this product. Happy acceleration!

All parts appear well-made. If installed per instrx, the heat-shield will cut into the top radiator hose. Shimming the forward heat-shield mounting hole with 3/8 inch thickness of washers gives 1/4 inch clearance between heat-shield and top radiator hose. Other than that everything fit perfectly. Intake noise is no louder than stock; just a deeper, less strangled tone. Seat of the pants says noticeable power increase; especially on the big end while approaching red-line. This is the best bang for the buck on a BMW 330i motor.
