Two of the brackets didn't fit, one was bent backwards but I was able to rebend it and make it work. The other one that supports the intake tube just plain won't work for my application.

I installed this in a 2011 Dakota. It fits OK, lots of open space around the bottom, had hoped for a better fit. One of the brackets appears to be bent at the wrong angle. So I have closed up the bottom gaps with some sheet metal and made my own bracket with the correct angle. Now I am happy, the rest of the kit went together fairly easily, and looks good.

I noted an immediate preformance improvement on my Dodge 4.7L V8. In fact, the installation took out some of the rough ideling, but I could not be sure if the K&F Air Intake did that alone as I also had installed a new magna flow exhaust. The price point although quite competitive is high. We will have to see if milage improves to make a final determination.

its a great product

Installed the FIPK into my 2005 Dodge Dakota expecting to see a minimal increage in MPG... As of yet, I haven't seen any increase in MG, in fact, there is a slight decrease in MPG......I have tracked my gas usage for the last 3 years.. I do like the increased performance, much more responsive when driving on the highway....

I installed the K&N cold air kit on my 2006 Dodge Dakota 4.7 V8. The installation went relatively smooth with minor difficulty. It looks very good under the hood. I did notice a significant gain in power especially above 3k rpm. Have not checked for mileage gains yet.
