Installation was a breeze, engine has a deep roar, take off and acceleration highly improved. Haven't really ever watched gas mileage, but it seems to be better as-well.

Freer breathing intake system really helps the V8 at higher RPM(above 3000)without a loss of lower RPM power. Plus it sounds very throaty under power without being obnoxious.

First off, Auto Anything matched the lower price of a competitor on this product, which its great! It took little over an hour to install and the improved throttle response is very noticeable. It improve mpg's by just over .5 mile. Fyi, I have the 4.6 engine.

Installed the cold air kit and the directions were right on, no problems, the air intake gives the engine a awesome sound and a deeper exhaust sound also, I have not noticed a increase in gas mileage but I am in Michigan and the winter gas is not the best for mileage

I had been aware of this technology for a few years. My wife decided to sell our tow vehicle (Ford Expedition) for something smaller with better gas mileage. I found myself having to add a tow package to my Ford Explorer. The K&N FIPK seemed like a necessary accessory to help the truck breath. Not only did I see gains at the pump, but the throttle response has increased. Not to mention the change in tone coming from the exhaust.
