K&N 57 Series FIPK Air Intake (50-State Legal) Part #57-9014-1 Customer Reviews

66 years old and feel like I am a kid with my 1966 Pontiac Tempest with the Hurst 3 speed on the floor. I put the cold air system on a 2001 V8 Toyota Tundra with 163,000 miles. The first few days after installation, I caught my self well over the legal speed limit. Having purchase the system with the idea of saving on fuel, I defeated that purpose soundly. Does AutoAnything reimburse speeding tickets due to product performance? You have my e-mail address if you do so.

Like others have stated, k&n's instructions are not very clear on some of the steps, but easy to overcome. As far as performance, I am not sure it's much of an improvement. It shows a 14 hp increase, but that's at over 5000 rpm's which is almost redlining on my truck. It does sound good when you get on it.

Installed the K & N FIPK Air Intake on my Toyota tundra. The system increased gas mileage by 1mpg and gave me much more horsepower. I have a camper and a 20' boat. Adding the K & N system definately assisted the engine in performing better under load conditions.
