I have one for my 2014 GMC so also got one for my '98 F-150. This one is not as impressive as my other one in terms of sound and installation. Directions are poor with black n white pictures that are difficult to see. The performance is improved, especially acceleration.

Out of all the small up-grades I installed on my 99'Ford f-150, (Jet chip and Flowmaster exhaust), the K&N air intake gave me the most noticeable horse power. If you want more power off the line, and more power for towing, the air in take is a must. You will feel the difference.

Well, what I received is what I expected. The engineering was well thought out. The design was appropriate for my application. The materials used were what I expected. I am sure the actual cost of manufacture is way below the cost, but like Rx drugs, you pay for the research and development , not the production cost. My only complaint is the absence of any written instructions to install. Good thing I had access to the Internet to find the instructions. it functions very well.

Overall this is a great addition to my truck. Added about 1 mpg. Only thing I'd that the instructions were poor.. Steps were skipped and pictures were limited.

After installation I could feel an improvement in performance in my 5.4L pickup... Less hesitation on take off and a better throttle response at higher RPM..

I bought this product to add better breathing to my "Little 4.6" in an incremental series of improvements. Installation was a bit more challenging because of all the different wrench sizes that I kept going back to the toolbox to get more sizes. But I got the job done in about 2 hours. Truck fired right up after everything was connected, you can immediately hear the extra air being brought to the motor. Will keep monitoring results.
