This K&N 57 series cold air intake was one of the best decisions I made because it was easy to install and gave my vehicle great performance, great look and excellent sound...... I would recommend it to anyone..

Would I buy this product again? Maybe. It took about 2 hours to install this in my 4.7L Jeep Commander. It's relatively straight forward, but a little more detail in the instructions would have reduced the install time 30%. Fit and finish are fine, there is too much of a gap between the housing and the intake tube but weather stripping will solve that. It makes the jeep sound much more throaty and looks good, but honestly, I haven't seen much of a performance or MPG gain...

I had installed one of these systems on our Ford Expedition, so I knew I wanted to do the same to our Jeep. The installation was fun as I began to SEE the engine after removing all the parts that were no longer needed. Once it was installed, my son and I took it for a drive. Oh...MAN! Even better than I remembered from last time! The growl and the power was immediately noticed. It sounds like it could suck a Mini Cooper right into the engine. I love it.

I have the 4.7L V8 and after installing this CAI I can notice a nice sound under normal acceleration, but when I hammer down it round REALLY nice. I've also seen an increase in about 1.5 mpg and I've seen a increase in throttle response. The first two things you do for any engine modifications is help it breath, so now that the intake is taken care of, next up is the exhaust.

The installation instructions were a bit confusing and vague. I had to modify because some of the instructions didn't apply to my vehicle. As for the performance and looks 9 out of 10!

It gave me the noise increase i was looking for. when stomping on it you get a nice noise but traveling down the highway it is quite. The directions are for a Cherokee so u have to cut some tubing to make every thing fit on the commander but it wasnt a big deal. i did get a increase in mpg after i stop flooring it when it was first installed. overall i am very happy and would recommend it for everyone
