Big improvement from the stock, more noticeable in 2nd gear going to 3rd but I would have been more happy with the cold intake due to the position of the filter being right next to the hot engine and headers

I chose the polished K&N 69 series short ram intake besides looking great and being very simple to install it makes my car sound awesome and react much quicker than the factory intake system .It was the cheapest price i could find anywhere and the quality was excellent. My friends tell me after a couple hundred miles it just gets better I guess we'll find out.Highly recomended to everyone. Oh and F.Y.I if you don't mind saving money on gas this will help you some.

At an idle I really couldn't hear a difference untill I reaved my engine to about 3k rpm. The overall horsepower gain isn't alot but I could tell im getting a quicker acceleration closer to my top end. And in about 3rd and 4th gear my engine has a deeper sound higher in the rpms. Overall i'm very happy with my purchase and can't wait to hook up an exhaust and see how much of a difference that makes.

I could tell right away, that the K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake added much grater horsepower to my car. Take off now is a lot faster than before. It didn't take long to install, and it was easy.

I got 1 for my 06 Lancer (non-evo). The most noticeable change was the louder in cabin noise from the engine. Thats GOOD. But, was expecting a bigger boost in performance.

I have had many different short ram intakes on my Mits. Lancer, but none have performed that way that K&N's Typhoon intake has. It gives the car a deep sound and a noticeable difference in power off the line. This is a BIG filter that finally allows the engine to start breathing like it needs to. My opinion is that this should be the first upgrade done to any car.
