Overall, I love the sound and performance the K&N Cold Air Intake added to my vehicle. UNFORTUNATELY, K&N did NOT do their research on the 2016 Nissan Maxima. Do NOT install this with the included heat shield. It can potentially damage your transmission as it prevents proper shifting. It baffles me WHY this is the case, but, it is (I believe it's because it rests on top of the module). I had to find this through researching on my own. There was NO warning or issues included OR on K&N site.

The installation is straight forward and not difficult it just has many steps. About an hour to do. It sounds awesome under strong acceleration but is quiet at idle and gentle acceleration. It looks cool and does give better pickup. Gas mileage has gone up a half gallon in the last week.

Sweet. Use to be an injen lover. With K&N 69, take off is much smoother and with a nice roar. Much respect to injen but I've graduated.

The intake is supposed to add 13 hp per K&N. There is no noticeable gain in power, just lots of noise & reduced fuel economy. Not worth the money unless you like the sound of a loud intake.

Yeah it has a little extra unwanted noise up front but you will love when you smack down on the gas differently more torque n power. Yeah

I have always used K&N products in all of my cars. This is the first time I have installed an Intake system on my automobile. The only issue I ran into is the amount of space that I had to work in with installing the intake. Nissan motors do not give you much space to work with. Overall, the intake system is AWESOME! I recommend it compared to buying the K&N air filter. Easy to clean and able to see if there is anything blocking the air flow.
