I recently picked up this hobby of throwing in aftermarket parts. I feel this was a solid start and since then have done a new exhaust, headers, spark plugs and am getting an ecu to tune it. The short ram itself I can hear when pushing on the throttle and has made a considerable difference in throttle response.

Easy to install, mainly cause factory intake is on top in the front. Sound is so much better than stock, car sounds like it has a pulse now! Instructions and pictures are very good, I always feel like they could be a bit better. I have 2 complaints. One is that I had to drill a mounting hole in one supplied bracket, cause factory hole was off. Other complaint is that the 2 supplied screw in inlets are plastic and should be aluminum or brass. One of those wasn't sized to supplied hose.

I have all was liked K@N air filters, and used them in all my cars. But this intake i was not happy with at all. It has plastic thread in to metal what is that about. it tore some of the plastic threads right off the hose fittings. make metal fittings or have them built in. the heat shield dose not seal very well. the hole on the heat shield is much bigger then the intake tube it self. and i think the heat shield should have a spot for the factory air intake tube as the focus has a good one. yes it seems to add more power, and a very nice sound to the car. But i fell like they rushed it, and did not spend time on it to get it right. One more thing by the way the 2010 focus none pzev and the pzev both have the same intake it will work for both. K@N dose not know what they are talking about as they are in CA where they are all pzev. i live in NC and have a none pzev and it fit just fine.

I drive a 2010 Ford Focus. Before installing the K&N Typhoon Intake System my car was smooth riding and would get up and go when you wanted it to. NOW, after installing this system, it drives 10 times smoother and will get up and go so easily it is not even funny. I mean seriously, I could not believe the difference this system made on my car. When I was thinking of buying an intake system K&N was my first choice and I am so glad I went with that.

This is an awesome product. It improved my mpg and performance. Awesome buy, no regrets. Would definitely recommend to a friend 100 times over. Drag raced my buddies 1992 L4 mustang, neck and neck at first gear but when it hit second my focus sped past.

I had this part installed in my vehicle roughly 2 weeks ago. On my focus it tells me how many miles to the gallon right now its arounf 32.2 MPG. With the the K&N Air Flow System installed it literally didn't not change my MPG. Maybe it's still early but I have filled up 3 times now and it still hasn't changed.
